Carolina Coops style DIY - Chicken Coop Construction

After lots of research on chicken management best practices, we decided that we wanted to design our coop after the Carolina Coops builds. We incorporated the deep litter method, chicken level egg door and chicken ladder along with lots of ventilation and open run space. In this video we try and document how to build the version we built.

Materials used:
Quantity of 6 of the 2x6x12 Pressure Treated
Quantity of 8 of the 1/2 CDX plywood
Quantity of 20 hardwood grade stakes
Quantity of 85 2x4x12
Quantity of 5 barrel Bolts
Quantity of 3 Gate Latches
Quantity of 15 Hinges
Some 1/4 stainless crown staples 1-1.25 long
Some 3/8 staples for the hand stapler
Around 130 running feet of 3ft wide hardware cloth
1 bag of roofing screws 1.25 long
Quantity of 16 pieces of metal roofing around 6ft
Quantity of 3 pieces of ridge cap
5 pounds of 3 inch screws
5 pounds of 1.5 inch screws

Saw horses
Drill or Impact driver
Circular Saw
Speed Square
4 foot Level
Some string line
Larger hammer / sledge hammer for driving grade stakes
