I love this initiative! At the end of the day, we all get into this hobby for the love of music. Even though I watch reviews because I’m a bit of a gear nerd (engineer bad habit😅), at the end of the day I cannot even dream of trying 99% of the gear under review. What I can actually experience, and usually do, is the music mentioned in the reviews. Thanks to many reviewers, my music repertoire has grown tremendously, especially well recorded albums that can truly show me what my gear can actually do. I hope that fellow audiophiles value this initiative, because I want to see more videos like this in the future.

Thanks for the recommendations. I will definitely look to check them out where available on Qobuz.

I beg to differ, everyone over the age of 4 should enjoy Mahler ;-)

I’m sure all of these are great recordings, unfortunately, after the swearing in of a certain orange person, I’ve had to rely on alcohol to get through my day😢

Excellent video topic! Permit me, however, to suggest that Vanska's Mahler 3 is on the flacid side and misses Mahler's sense of humor, IMHO, eventhough the audio recording itself is magical. Compare it to any Bernstein version. Some alternatives are the Ivan Fischer/Budapest Festival/Channel (HI-RES, SACD) and the Mehta/LAP/Decca (HI-RES, reissue LP) yield both superior sonics and interpretations. Thanks again and keep the suggestions coming.

The Mahler 3rd Symphony is beautiful. I am familiar with the Levine conducting the CSO version. If there's an even better one, I'd love to discover it. Anout 20 years ago the Pope requested Mahler 3rd to be played by a visiting symphony orchestra from America. Maheler's brother in law was Anatole Fistoulari; one of the better ballet music conductors of all time.
