Lol yeah as a former military and federal employee, people have no idea how many parts I've ordered just to make "busy" work so I had something to do or how many times I was sent the wrong part. The supply section were worse than me, all the Class 9 items that got ordered and handed out or just boxed up and brought home. Class 9 is a non accountable item, no signatures, no paper trail. In Iraq, laptops were considered Class 9, 1 per squad lol. Rambo gurker knives..... Class 9. High intensity lights with infrared or map reading LED's.... Class 9. The list is long and distinguished. But it was only a 1 per person allowance. We had a unit next to ours that ordered a 2,000 pound ship anchor, rather than return it, they painted it and displayed it at there front gate. God only knows how much equipment was boxed and dropped behind the lines in Vietnam or Korea that still sit in the crates covered by jungle growth. Gov't waste is not a myth, its a job requirement.
