The Mona Lisa experience is such a joke, she would be reviled by the amount of smartphones and people just standing there taking selfies. When I went many years ago the barrier was much closer to the painting and you could truly appreciate it. Now I wouldn't even bother going.

My mind has been blown

I have always felt that the artist imparts a certain "life" or essence to his work . Beyond technical brilliance, this "essence" seems to infuse whatever masterpiece is hanging on the wall, so that these works seem to see you before you see them. As if the genius that created them is waiting to greet you. Kind of a far out notion perhaps, but this has been my experience on many ocassions

As a Parisian, I am shocked to see what has become of the Louvre. It used to be a beautiful museum, a palace, which people treated as such. Visiting it was a luxurious experience for the soul. Now it just looks like a cattle call.

Fantastic tour tku very much..The only part I didnt like was when we got to the monilisa and saw it behind glass and so far away... It has become an icon, you cant even see it, its so small...I dont even like the painting but srsly?, Take down the barriers and let the people see what they came for.

i like these videos, they actually give you the chance to travel and see multiple things without really visiting it, and it is interesting, i always tell mysef how lucky we are to live in the same time as the internet !

I was lucky that I visited way back in 1989 winter and I could see Mona Lisa without the pexiglass and only inches away without the big crowd.

Really appreciate the timestamps. But at about 12 minutes, what are the rooms 1, 2, and 3? What wing? The Louvre is hard enough to find anything when you know the exact wing and room number. Their placement must make sense to somebody.....

Itd be better if they made an app where you can submit art and other things into a museum like account and get paid, i don't know who curates museums or determine the value of the various arts, but this is something that normal people need.
