GPS Disciplined Oscillator part 1

Question. As I understand it, you are trying to keep your oscillator OXCO stable as a function of what the GPS sig is reporting, then dividing that down for more resolution. If so, you are still at the mercy of what the GPS DO is reporting,. is this correct? The advantage is iF you don't see a sat, not likely, you still have a reference.
