I had almost entirely cut out energy drinks. This is motivation to remove them completely.
ОтветитьI guess that as a long-time type 1 diabetic I should use fructose instead of my usual 25% sucralose solution. Because fructose won’t spike my blood glucose! It will probably go entirely to triglycerides but clearly those are much better for me than a few milligrams a day of sucralose…
Dr. Pooh Bear might well suggest that I eat honey.
Thomas Delaur talks about this in his sweetners video especially asulfame potassium or however its spelled
Ответитьasceuflame potassium, immediate headache after drinking anything with it.
ОтветитьBlack coffee with sucralose during intermittent fasting also no sugar coke.
ОтветитьAlready did that decades ago when i first tasted diet coke. Reason 100% being that sugar is better😂
ОтветитьI'm not dropping my preworkout and Celsius drinks.
ОтветитьWe need a CarnivoreMD, Andrew Huberman, and Derek MPMD discussion on the topic of artificial sweeteners. It would be interesting to hear their opinions as those two don't seem to be worried much about using them. I know Huberman drinks Jocko GO which contains monk fruit, and Derek's supplements are made with sucralose and other artificial sweeteners. Time to get that squad together and discuss the science. 🙌
ОтветитьOh dear i better check the ingriedients on my creme caramels lol thanks for the tip doc 👍 your a life saver 🙌
Ответитьi have a question was you think about onions. Like your content
ОтветитьOk sure. BTW Dairy is NOT ancestral.
Ответить100s of grams of honey and fructose - good, doesn't affect insulin or blood glucose at all ever
tiny splash of sucralose in your coffee - instant diabetes
Good to know, makes complete sense
I drink Zevia pretty frequently. I'd love more of a deep-dive into Stevia as a sweetener. Either way, love the channel, Paul.
ОтветитьEssence can spike insulin as well.
ОтветитьMt. Dew and Doritos
ОтветитьWhat about monk fruit and erythitol
ОтветитьSo eat low carb and enjoy your Zevia
ОтветитьCan you please tell this to Liver King, because I’m a big fan of his “the whole beast” protein powder and the only problem with it is that it has monk fruit extract. I know your good friends with the liver king and you would have a better chance of reaching him then me, thanks Paul
Ответитьi haven't followed Paul for a while now but he seems to be aging quickly... deep wrinkles, sunken eyes,. And why does he keep closing his eyes while talking?
Similarly Jordan Peterson also seemed to age faster since he started his carnivore diet.
stevia causes PVC's bigtime
ОтветитьWhile I would agree that more study is a good idea and needed, I don't see how you could compare 2 natural non caloric sweeteners to a highly processed artificial sweetener. Caution might be prudent but this seems more alarmist than the circumstances suggest.
ОтветитьRe stevia, look up this: Effects of chronic administration of Stevia rebaudiana on fertility in rats | Journal of Ethnopharmacology (1999)
ОтветитьGreat video! I just bought the vertical diet by Stan efferding. He really recommends white rice for calories and easily digested carbohydrates…what are your thoughts on white rice?
ОтветитьI have tried every type of sweetener. They all trigger my migraines. Some worse than others. I have a sweet tooth and have always searched for sweeteners to satisfy it. But not one is safe for me.
Ответить@Paul Saladino; I just want to commend you for your professionalism and respectful manner. I enjoy all your interviews because you never interrupt anyone even when they constantly interrupt you. Well done 👏
ОтветитьI am not carnivore (yet) but I am lowering my carbs especially high oxalate items. (I definitely have an issue with oxalates). Initially I turned to monk fruit but I’ve decided to limit its use and instead use honey. My honey is raw but not glyphosate free, unfortunately. I’ll try it to limit it as well. Love your content!
ОтветитьWhy is pure maple syrup not on the same level as honey?
ОтветитьI'm assuming this includes skinny syrup as well?
ОтветитьHow about erythritol? What do u think about this?
ОтветитьPaul, we need a protein drink from heart and soil. There are times when I have no access to a kitchen or healthy protein sources and all protein drinks have sweeteners. Even if I had a protein drink that taste near to chalk but was healthy clean protein i would be down for it
ОтветитьThat monk fruit crap is very very questionable! Only approved by globalist ran countries! Probably sterlizes.. has minimal testing, and our goverment approved it! Therefore, I say BE CAUTIOUS!
Ответитьand where is the link to the study
ОтветитьHow about coconut sugar? Seems like the cleanest sugar outside of honey and maple.
ОтветитьXylitol is healthy and good for your teeth (but we are talking about 5 grams per day)
ОтветитьNon GMO allulose??
ОтветитьI can’t find enough info on monk fruit, if anything, a lot of good benefits from it. It’s the only thing that doesn’t mess with my GI system. No bloating, no gas, no inflammation of any sort or diarrhea from it. I can’t do raw honey right now as that gives me a bit of bloating. I just want to heal my gut!! 😩
ОтветитьThought Stevia and Monkfruit are natural sweeteners.
ОтветитьDr. Thank you i'm giving up artificial sweeteners for good. I was consuming them daily for a few years and I was wondering why I wasn't seeing any progress or improvement with my health. I was drinking them in the zero sugar yogurts, drinks, energy drinks and for baking mixes. I'm now consuming honey, maple syrup and real fruit. its been a week officially without artificial sweeteners and I lost 1lb already so im excited to see where this goes. I've noticed my cravings for processed sugar have been gone. Thank you!!!!
ОтветитьWhat about xylitol?
ОтветитьI haven't heard about this 'paper', but I have been sweetening my fruit teas and other herbal teas with sucralose, for years. Drinking alone or along a meal, naturally containing starches and other carbs, sometimes 3 drinks a day, I am yet to see a sign of insulin resistance. I tested myself with OGTT several times over the years, had fasting insulin measured, hba1c... all great... and that coming from a family plagued with T2DM, every single one from my mother's side. Me past 45 years of age and...NOTHING. Not a sign of any metabolic syndrome factors. But I exercise, I watch my overall calorie intake, I consume fruits and veggies, I don't do takeaways, no cakes baking at home or deep frying... all practices of my family though. Making instant noodles? Adding frozen veggies into the boiling water first before noodles, knob of butter, and top up with two eggs, for protein. Perfectly nutritious balanced meal, no snacking afterwards, but a splenda sweetened cherry tea... yum!
ОтветитьIt makes sense that these sweeteners would in some way derange the metabolism
ОтветитьEVERY time I go on a binge of artificial sweetener (not stevia) in the form of diet coke, or those powder packets from Wylers, Welch's, and other ones (with maltodextrin, aspartame & acesulfame), I notice for days after or longer that I Can't remember a Lot, more absent minded, very poor short-term memory. Esp vocabulary, which is highlighted because of my work writing. So maybe it's causing my neurons to become unable to communicate like those gut microbes? I don't notice any gut issues, unless I have a Lot of sucralose, which is pretty common.
ОтветитьStevia is not an artificial sweetener.
ОтветитьThanks for being an outlier and shortening the learning curve on these nuanced outcomes of the modern manufacturing processes.
Ответитьwhat about birch xylitol ?
ОтветитьHuman trials have been ongoing since the 60's, it's hard to believe something has recently changed reguarding artificial sweeteners.
ОтветитьStevia is not an artificial sweetener.
ОтветитьAll artificial sweeteners are bad! Aspartame in Coca-Cola causes heart attack, cancer and early dementia. Google it.
ОтветитьWhat about xylitol? Is it safe'?
ОтветитьWhat if you’re having not carbs and take sucralose
Ответить
