Poor Peter 😢
ОтветитьHarry has a foul mouth
My heart goes out to Peter's wife
Diana, just because you cry a lot does not mean you are not strong; the strongest people do cry. You are a resilient and faithful woman with incredible love and commitment to Peter. You are amazing!
ОтветитьThis series, and my own experience in hospital and facing a life altering diagnosis, makes me question how we prioritize the level of care and intervention, particuarly when it come to expected outcomes /life span
ОтветитьAweful cases and wish all the best route to success.
ОтветитьThank Labour for this LORD STARMER DOING 100 %
ОтветитьLord Darcy was fundamentally wrong imo. This is NOT America with large land mass between hospitals where trauma centres work. Many Ed’s have been down graded as a consequence and staff deskilled.
ОтветитьLondon as a Hospital you need to do better USA
ОтветитьI know that space is at a premium but maybe there could be a new building built for rehabilitation patients (those that can't go home but are too well for a hospital bed).
ОтветитьLondon needs more hospitals. There's no other solution to bed problem
ОтветитьOur wonderful NHS. As bad as it is right now, I know for sure that the NHS will get better. The frustrations you've seen in this programme are real, and it's happening in every acute NHS hospital in England. Such a shame about Peter, may his memory be a blessing.
I was an NHS nurse for 32 years, and the majority of those years were fantastic. I loved going to work to make a difference. I certainly didn't work in the NHS for the money that's for sure.
Working with an amazing team in theatres to working on the wards, my focus was purely on the patient and their family, keeping them safe and giving them the best care possible. I treated every patient as though they were my relative.
It wasn't all plain sailing, and the last few years after Covid19 were the worst.
I hope that I made a difference to all the patients I cared for. I was fortunate and privileged to be there right at the beginning of life when I was working in maternity, and to be there at the end of life too, that was the greatest privilege of all, knowing that they didn't die alone if the patient didn't have loved ones with them.
Just imagine what’s going on in Gaza right now. Only 2 hospitals out of 92 in operation 😢😢 rest of them blown
ОтветитьAll Peter cared about was his wife. She was his most important thought.
ОтветитьGreat documentary!
ОтветитьWhy didn’t they go ahead with Peter’s surgery and then keep him in theatre like they did with the other patient? I’m glad that he got his surgery, but how sad that he died sometime afterwards.
ОтветитьMake politicians that want to cut taxes all the time spend three days in an overloaded hospital. Other countries do much better than the UK with their health services.
ОтветитьThis program is nearly 10 years old!!!!
ОтветитьAnd the bed manager calls it elective surgery. She needs the check her definition.
ОтветитьHe could go home and come back in morning for op
ОтветитьPromote family cohesiveness. If elderly live with their families it will release healthcare workers and hospital beds. Sometimes bit of old medicine is best for modern society.
ОтветитьWhat I, sitting here in Australia, having had 3 procedures in the past 2 months, including hospitalisation for additional time during a cyclone when all hospital's usual processes were on an " emergency" basis only, totally amazes me is that they could co ordinate so many surgeons, etc but that the hospital was not proactive in it's part. Why be waiting so long to solve the Polish gentleman's issues. To have a trained nurse wandering the hospital asking if anyone spoke Polish was ludicrous.
We have a telephone interpreter service available. But, so does the UK. See TV show " Border Security" why was that not used days ago. He was ready for discharge days ago.
Just sloppy work!
Really enjoyed watching this documentary. I feel really sad that after all the waiting and time and dedication of the team for Peter, and after coming through the operation that he passed away . Sincere condolences to his dedicated and loving wife Diana and to all the team that worked on him, they must be really gutted too.
ОтветитьDoesn’t anyone in Britain have private insurance or at least top up insurance?
Ответитьdid he say is there enything we can kick out there like we are trash
ОтветитьA hospital is the most expensive place to accommodate people who are only there because they have nowhere to go! It would be fare less expensive to send patients home with a carer, if a personal care worker stayed with them in their home while waiting for a community hospital bed, it would be better all the way around. It is ridiculous to hold people when they no longer need nursing care and deny care to those more serious!
