Texas has done away with vehicle inspection as of 2025.
Some counties have emissions tests. Idk if they will still be required.

I've looked through the comments section and haven't seen all these " viewer negative comments".

Colorado did away with safety inspections back in 1982, but along the Front Range, emissions testing is still done.

I truly want to thank you. I am a do it myselfer. Live in NC. Went to have my 2009 GMC PU inspected and it would not pass. Rich (-25 )on both banks. Came back home watched one of your vids on Running rich. Cleaned MAf sensor not much improvement. Then by an act of god you mentioned alcohol %. checked on my Autel 808s and shure enough it was at 50% cleared it . drove on a short trip and the LT fuel trims were both at -4. At 70 years old I felt like I was 25 again. Thanks again

so technically that FJ704 PN is a standard motor products APPLICATION number...and a lot of other companies will sell a part and use that as a reference number. It does appear that the Standard Motor products injectors do not have PN printed on them...they are also $92 ea on rockauto so a lot closer to OEM GM, probably close enough in price that you might as well just buy OEM as you said.

You just touched on flex fuel , where I remember you finding a vehicle operating in the wrong mode ?

I put in a set of 4 into my 1989 Toyota pickup from Amazon. It ran so rich that fuel pooled into the intake manifold. I had those only long enough to clean the OEM.

I follow your videos and learn a lot.
I own a Nissan Frontier 2014 2WD 2.5L and I`m having an error PO304.
I replaced the fuel pump, MAF sensor, temperature sensor, CranckShaft sensor, Coils, Spark plugs, Fuel injectors, O2 sensor, and Coils connectors... the compressor on each cylinder is 178 PSI ( the engine rebuild one year ago )
But, I can't get rid of this problem.. and the engine runs rough especially when cold.
I live in Germany, and here the dealer does not want to take care of the car (because it is imported from America) I have been to 4 different garages and no one has been able to fix the problem. is it the ECM?
What do you recommend me to check?

Any thoughts on paying someone to rebuild the OE injectors if they are still in the car?

Obviously, the FJ in the part number stands for F***ING JUNK 😄

Anyone able to explain how the rear o2 sensor would look if the front sensor was creating the rich condition!?

What about a dirty air filter.

Use a borescope or take a picture with your phone and zoom in to see part number.sometimes they're small enough to get close.

rule of Thumb: OBD2 needs OEM

cheap is cheap for a reason , and it’s endless the amount of no name junk on the market !

After the 2008 economy carnage, i worked for a friend that was selling injectors on eBay. It was operating out of his parents' garage. This fool had a crack team of idiots that would pull and smudge injectors from local junk yards. Then, injectors would be poorly "tested" on a jig made out of a fuel rail constructed of brass plumbing parts and steel sliders. Injectors were pulsed with fuel that had like 80% Sea Foam in it at different rates for a few minutes into graduated cylinders. Injectors that 'passed' would be doctored up visually and sent to be shipped out. So, don't buy injectors from eBay.

FJ704 is Made by SMD. Not a OEM item.

My day job buys china injectors and we do a 4 stage test simulating real world usage before we sell them.

FU is the prefect way to start a aftermarket injector part number.

Wonderful Amazon parts. Replaced window switch, worked for 1 week then only allowed the window to go down not up. Part cost $15 replaced with Dorman $82 now works. But what a pain to troubleshoot.

I was wondering If this car had one of those vacuum controlled fuel pressure regulators, but I think I heard you say it was not a looped fuel system, so that would mean no.

If it did I would make sure the regulator worked correctly…….

Pipe would tell you if it’s actually running rich. It would
Essentially negate everything else sensor related. As long as all sensors looked within range. Not causing it to run rich.

Back in the day the older versions of this engine family the injectors would fail all the time. I have replace many.

If you can't fix it , then it needs to be crushed. Lol 😂
