Crows: Peaceful Moments On A Windy Day | Nature Film

Filmed on March 24th 2023 on a windy day. Captain, Runa and the others.

The handicapped crow with upside down foot at 0:17 and 1:53 is Captain Ahab. If you don`t know him watch my video about him "Captain Ahab is Rising". https://youtu.be/O2CFtOyq_Lk Somehow his leg is twisted with the foot upside down but he gets along quite well. He stands on it, he walks on it and as you see here he even jumps and balances on swinging branches in the storm. It always looks hard to see him walking and in the beginning I was worrying about him but his foot doesn`t seem too much of a problem. He blends in well with the others but he`s slow and everythings a little complicated but he learned to live with it quite well.

The crow in the beginning that jumps off the branch is Runa (I believe). I though I confused her with another crow in past videos because her beak looked a little different but looking through the old videos I see that it depends on the angle but from the way she behaves I`m sure it`s her. She`s a very quiet crow most of the time sitting alone and staying in the back and sometimes I feel I don`t see her for weeks because she rarely comes for food. But then sometimes I see her in a tree watching. Here in this scene she`s obviously annoyed by the swinging branch.
