I love the tip about creating a shopping list of items you wish you had when dressing! 💡
ОтветитьI was hoping that you would say “stop buying things when you have things that still fit you and they aren’t broken, and never use credit cards. Save the planet and stop accumulating fast fashion from Amazon and other retailers!”
ОтветитьAnother tip is when I find something I like, I compare it to similar items I already own and ask this question: do I like it better than them or it? If no, I don’t buy it as I will not reach for it over the one I already own.
ОтветитьI did lose an earring! I was having dinner with friends, and realized one of my diamond and pearl earrings fell out of my ear. We had the whole restaurant looking for it. We left without finding it. The hostess took a picture of the remaining earring just in case. Cried myself to sleep. The next morning I got a call from the restaurant they found it. Miracles do happen. Has this stopped me from wearing them Nope! Just a bit more cautious about checking they are there.
ОтветитьFrom Floridian to Floridian stay safe this week!!! ❤ great tips!!
ОтветитьI recently found a designer denim coat on clearance that is very well made, comfortable and fits perfectly. Nothing wrong with it. I don't look for designer brands, i just find them occasionally.
ОтветитьI rarely pay full price for anything.
ОтветитьEveryone says the shirt dress looks good on everyone -not me!!
ОтветитьLoved this video!! Hope you and your loved ones are safe with the hurricane.
Ответитьmy best tip: find a spot to take your full length photo at, every day I do this at work (in the mirrored elevator)... i put them in a folder to look at later. wow, theres stuff that looks completely different than i thought- both good and bad! the more time passing, the better. unbelievable.
ОтветитьI keep a bag in my bedroom and if I try something on that I don't like it or the way it fits, it goes into that donation bag. I actually tried on every shirt and pants I own about a month or so ago. I got a whole bag full that I donated!
ОтветитьVery good video
ОтветитьGreat tips!! Maybe make a video of “style formulas.” 😊
ОтветитьDear Ms. Anna, I just bought the cutest, red, straight legged jeans from the gap. Can I style them or are colored jean no longer in style. They are REALLY cute and fit like a glove. Thanks!!
ОтветитьSo right! Yep, that's what makes fashion so fun!
ОтветитьAnna always find value in your videos. What steamer do you recommend?
ОтветитьI am in my late 60's I don't drive anymore, which is okay but it's rather stupid looking to dress up to walk everywhere.
ОтветитьGreat advice!❤
ОтветитьAnother great video Anna! And definitely agree with the shoe advice!😵💫I'm too old to have ill fitting shoes🤗 Take care tonight (hurricane Milton doesn't sound good!)
ОтветитьPraying for Florida 😢
ОтветитьI love your videos. Thank you.
ОтветитьFinding clothes is the problem for me. Getting rid of items that don't fit or work need to be replaced with items that just dont exist for petites...or that dont look matronly. I joined a petite clothing box, but it is not filling my closet fast enough especially when only 1 item from the box works. One shirt a month....how do you get dressed if you don't have anything?
ОтветитьI want a denim shirt. Maybe tencel. Can you recommend one or two??
ОтветитьThis was a great video. You really hit all the best topics with amazing insight and advice. ❤🎉
Ответитьjust an FYI but Vermeil is pronounced "ver-may".
ОтветитьIt's Thurs Oct 10. Hope you're safe and sound
Ответить💯 I could not say this enough! Respect your self by investing and spending time daily how you present!
ОтветитьRetired fashion trend predictor and stylist here! You are totally "on point" about how to dress well. I'd add that 1) good posture makes anything that you wear look better 2) take good care of what you own and it will last longer and look better - sewing a button is not difficult nor is polishing shoes 3) Never buy new cheap clothes - they look cheap, don't last, are an ecological disaster, and a waste of your hard earned money. Most of my good clothes are from consignment or thrift shops. Just got a flawless cashmere stole for $4.00 because the shop didn't know what the fabric was... and a vintage designer jacket for $4.99 because the seller didn't know the name of the designer. LOVE the jackets that you show. They add panache!!!
Ответить100 effing %!
ОтветитьGreat video!! I would add ‘Knowing Your Color Pallette’ to your list of style advice! Shopping and putting an outfit together is much easier and more beautiful when you know what colors look best on you. I look sick in many grayed-down colors but my skin seems to pop when I wear pure, bright colors. Color Analysis is underrated!🙂
ОтветитьLast week I purged 50% of my closet, it felt so good! This week, I purchased some nice quality pieces that make me feel so good and beautiful! ❤ I agree that tailoring is worth the extra time and money to get that polished look and fit.
ОтветитьI need a video giving advice on how to use my basics. Please.
ОтветитьHope you are safe in Florida. 🙏🏻
ОтветитьAll great tips!
ОтветитьWow! Powerful message and wonderful reminders….thank you. Just subscribed 👍
Ответитьmom here, printed pieces are so much more forgiving in a stain prone environment
grease/oil stain seem to be my clothes death sentence …
weight fluctuates
save your favorites 5-10 lb up and 5-10 lb down
You are 100% correct about dressing up more days than not. I always feel better when I do. I wear scrubs most days so I love my “civvies!”
ОтветитьI lost a bunch of weight. Nothing I had before, fits now. 'Cept my shoes.
I was all the way up to size 24 and thought 16 was my normal weight.
I'm in an 8 now.
I'm 5'8 and don't want to get to much thinner, I'm aiming for healthy not skinny.
I really don't like the jeans I'm finding for sale. I don't need spandex in my jeans. They don't hold their shape.
I like 100% cotton jeans. If you know how to break them in, they are way more comfortable and look better through multiple wearings. Thing is I don't want mom jeans either. I can wear mid and low waisted jeans now. I like a variety. At the bottom, flaired, bell bottom, boot cut, skinny, I just need them to be stylish and fit correctly and for me 100% cotton. Where can I find them besides at second hand stores?
Hi! I am a therapist and work only telehealth. Can you do a video about styling yourself over telehealth/zoom?
ОтветитьI love shopping sale/clearance! however! my requirement is that it has to fulfill my mental checklist- ie it has to be something I'm on the lookout for already and still have quality fabric/construction/fit . I once hemmed and hawed over a pair of trousers and ultimately was trying to be 'good' and didn't get them. A month or two later, I found one of the last pairs totally marked down and in the size I had wanted. No flaws, just the store clearing out the merch. I snatched them up without a second thought! Price per wear on them has got to be under a dollar by now.
ОтветитьI love your hair in this video! The side part with long waves is softening and classically beautiful on you.
ОтветитьWonderful video... Loving the long hair and the red!! ♥️
ОтветитьVery helpful. Thank you.
ОтветитьSomehow, my feet grew a half size this year.
How is this even possible? I measured them and it’s real.
My favorite shoes are too uncomfortable to wear, and I’ve finally accepted that I must get replacements.
I used stretchers on some and this helped with a few pair. So frustrating!
I love my shoe collection.
That’s my thing - my friends know me as the shoe lady.
Great advice and tips! Thanks!
ОтветитьI love your tip… don’t save pieces for special occasions. I started doing this and found myself happier when I put my outfits together! Thanks Anna! ♥️
