Cards I would recommend: Battle Fader, Swift Scarecrow, Compulsory Evacuation Device, Vanity's Emptyness, Book of Moon, Shard of Greed (Great MST bait), Effect Veiler/Fiendish Chain/Chalice, One day of Peace (Great Emergency card), Needle Ceiling, and/or Scrap-Iron Scarecrow.

Then the opponent synchro summons a Black Rose Dragon...

I would probably get rid of 1 X Nightmare Steel Cage and add an extra Level Limit Area B.... What role could Gravity Bind play in this deck?

I know that this video is pretty old, I don't know if you're still playing this but I have some suggestions (played a deck like this a lot on ygopro).

I didn't even try to prevent them from attacking, as the OP xyz and synchros get rid of the messenger of peace anyway :p

I used 3x lava golem, 3x magic cylinder, 3x dimension wall, 3x battle fader, 3x swift scarecrow, you get the idea... just let them come. Also, the Secret Blasts, Secret Barrels and Ceasefires just stay set until the opponent tries to destroy them, only then you chain them.... it's as fodder to reduce the chance of them removing cylinder/wall before they attack.

also ojama trio is pretty important, not sure if you included it.

Just some input there :p I'm also willing to make a Fenrir Lockdown deck someday... maybe if you are looking for something to do, you could work on that.... at least that would be original.
