guys i want to ask you something....... is it very common to cover book with plastic? I'm from Indonesia and i've been doing that since... forever. Even when i was a kid, my mom or my sister did the covering for me but for more than 20 years i've been doing that by my self. all my books are covered with plastic. I buy new book, and then cover it, and then i read it after it's safe and protected (IMO). I buy the plastic covers again and again every time i ran out of it. my school books, text books, manga, novels, non fictions are covered with plastic. it's just normal for me. i think other people i know does it too. especially kids in school, it's normal to see their school books covered in plastic. Without it, it would seem like the kid/book owner is lazy somehow. But now i'm curious since i watch booktube and see bookstagram... most of booktubers don'tt cover their books. they just leave it like that. And now i'm questioning my habit! is it better to leave books uncovered? is it the better way to preserve book? i've been trying to leave the book nude this month, but since i'm used to it, i had anxiety over it and i gave in and cover it as usual XD. so is it common to cover book with plastic? or is it just common here in Indonesia because of the weather here isn't really good to leave book without cover? is it the better way?
