JCI Mayo TOYP Awards 2012 Radio Interview

Nominations to identify the TOYP (The Outstanding Young Persons in Mayo) 2012 are now being sought with a competition currently being run by Junior Chamber Ireland in Mayo (JCI Mayo), in association with the Mayo Advertiser and AIB.

The Outstanding Young Person of the year competition is a drive to identify young people aged 18-40 for their dynamism and enthusiasm in their fields.

There are ten categories under which nominations can be made, relating to the fields of business; politics; academic achievements; culture; moral/environmental leadership; contribution to children/world peace/human rights; humanitarian/voluntary service; scientific/technological development; personal improvement/accomplishment; medical innovation.

Winners of these awards locally will get the chance to be selected for the National and also the World Title of Most Outstanding Young Person. We will also be holding a local awards ceremony where local winners will receive a commemorative trophy and be recognised and applauded by their peers. This competition is free to enter.

Take the time, show someone that your admire and respect what they do. These Outstanding young people are based in Mayo, we just need to shine a light and let them be seen.
