I love it! I also love how every time I have a question in one of your videos, you end up answering it before I even have to ask. Thanks for sharing what fertilizer you use!
ОтветитьThe lamium really spreads. You can space that very far apart. It is a sure fire winner. It keeps blooming all season, and comes back reliably every year. It can be pulled up easily if it creeps into areas, or around other plants were you don't want it to go.
ОтветитьTHANK YOU for telling us if the plant is an annual or perennial because sometimes i'm not sure 😍👍🏼
ОтветитьAs always I love it. Ben
ОтветитьWe have lamium (purple deadnettle) all over our yard and they smell so bad whenever I cut the grass.
I don't think people give enough credit to oxalis plants ( the clover look alike). They bloom pretty much all of spring to Autumn and they are edible. though eating too much can give you kidney stones.
That said, they produce tubers that will probably cause problems should you want to remove them as they come back easily.
Laura, love your beautiful shade video! We live in Ohio where it's more humid and rains a lot. Unfortunately this brings lots of slugs to my shade gardens:( Do you have slug problems in your shade gardens? And what would you recommend using to kill or deter them? They feast on my hosta and almost any other plant:(
ОтветитьDo you think I could make the Lamium work in a zone 9 if I watered it a lot?
ОтветитьCan you plant more budget friendly plants? Proven Winners are very expensive and many people cannot afford to buy them.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьHow did you get rid of the gophers?
ОтветитьCan you do a video of good house plants? Thanks.
ОтветитьI luv, and look forward to your videos. You are educational, and detailed with explaining things to us. I'm always inspired to plant more, and do more.

ОтветитьI'd love to see more on shade perennials that grow tall. Looking for something that might work as a privacy screen that grows pretty fast. Love your videos. You were the inspiration for my new love of gardening! Thank you!!

ОтветитьYOU R SO BEAUTIFUL...
ОтветитьI'm excited to see how it'll come up in a few months!
ОтветитьVery helpful! I have a few shady areas in front of my house and I've been wondering what to plant there. Thanks for the suggestions!
ОтветитьIt's very pretty! I love your ideas with shade options, particularly since my yard continues to get more shade as the years go by. I am curious why you have used two different fertilizers for what you planted. I realize that your have annuals and perennials, but why does that make a difference in their nutrient needs? Thanks.
ОтветитьDo you have any ideas on what can grow under a blue spruce?
ОтветитьLooking lovely i take notes have to type them in my mac, the go back to the vid for the rest of the info. You vids inspire me and i love the way you just want us all to know what is what x
ОтветитьWhat brand of mulch do you use?
ОтветитьU have too many gulfers
ОтветитьHow does this look now?
ОтветитьHow long will it take for this area to fill in?
ОтветитьWhat does this area look like now?
ОтветитьCan the new Guinea inpatients in containers take afternoon sun? I wanted these in containers as fillers ?
ОтветитьIs hosta a perennial?
ОтветитьHi! At what time of year do you fertilize lamium? And what fertilizer do you use for it?
ОтветитьWill the Lamium smoother anything out? Do you have to keep the pulled back away from the hostas?
ОтветитьGreat suggestions! Just be careful with Lamium because it's highly invasive where I live in a zone 8.
ОтветитьLaura is an inspiration with all her plant ideas for shade gardens! I am making my list of annual and perennial plants to order from the nursery. The selection of these plants is gorgeous!
Ответить💜💜
ОтветитьAnd to think there is a Hartley Greenhouse on this very spot. So glad I’ve been here since the beginning and seeing the remarkable transformations.
ОтветитьIs there a follow up on this video To see how it looked afterwards?
