Город где мало людей. Но много коррупции . Как и во всей стране. Где чиновники построили себе при жизни мавзолей, где их потом надо хоронить. И что то не показан ЛРТ- наземное метро, которое начали строить, но потом все деньги украли и так и стоят эти столбы до сих пор.

It's very beautiful, clean and neat, and those buildings are amazing. Looks like a great place to live in. I just added to the list of places i will go when I get rich. Kazakhstan is a country almost no one talks about where I live (Brazil).

The totalitarian architecture reminds of North Korea, especially Pyongyang. But also a bit of Ashgabat, the bizarre capital of Turkmenistan. In 2019 it was named Nur-Sultan in „honor“ of long time dictator Nursultan Nasarbayev. The initiator was current dictator Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. After he had fallen out with Nazarbayev in 2022 the city was named back into Astana…
