This is a lure to buy property because of the prices where you could probably get a dog kennel for the same price in California not even including property taxes and homeowners' insurance. But because of the Thai law of not being able to own land especially for a foreigner, I would not invest in real estate here. As nice as Thailand is, I would just stay for an extended vacation worry free.

imo, poorly designed home. no full bath ? only two 3/4 baths, smh.

yeah, i want a huge window in my master bedroom looking out at the pool. bedrooms are a private space area. no need for it.

hua hin is mostly a thai vacation area. ok for farang to visit...but live ? no thanks.

just rent condo short term so your travel destination is limitless if you are retired. why stuck in one single place.

I think it's good that country like philippine, laos, vietnam and thailand not sell land for foreigner. else American, europe, china, japan and korea will go and take over the country. specially the chinese, they are lawless and out of control to the helpless smaller country. so don't feel bad. I encourage them not to sell land for us vulgar foreigner. bad idea.

You are way better off in the Philippines where 90% of the locals speak English, and you can legally own land and houses. None of that is true in Thailand.

Beautiful house. As an American, you would be a fool to invest that much if you are never the true owner. If you are a multi-millionaire and it is chump change to you, then it may be worth the risk.

Is a nice villa however very far from hua hin. Its more as 15min. More like 20min, A long drive for amenities and fun.

How could it be so cheap? $175K in the US can't get you a corner of this house.

One way to look at it is that it's a cheap house when comparing anywhere in the west. So if your Thai REIT company buys the house, you can lease it from them?

You could buy a block of these for the same price as one house in New Zealand or Australia e.g. 1.77m.

Rent them out to foreigners or on Airbnb and use the income to pay down the mortgage and offset fixed expenses. 😂❤

Then, they hit you with constantly increasing HOA fees until it’s higher than the mortgage and you can no longer afford it. Foreclose on you, clean it up, and sell it to the next dumb foreigner.
