if you're familiar with the original recording, you'll have noticed how it's a bit dark and lo-fi sounding; look at a spectral map of it, and there's an inexplicable little dip in the 1K area. With a couple of dB's boost in that area it freshens quite a bit, gives it some clarity.

Man, I'm 56 and have been a beefheart fan since I was 17. I still find new things in his music. I sure miss him.

From about 3 mins 30 in it could be Television about the time of Marquee Moon.

Live In Amsterdam version of this is just superb along with the whole album, magnificent!
