It's simple. Take a bath every day and wash yourself carefully. That's what the Japanese do. Taking pictures is sometimes prohibited in historic buildings. The reason is that the ultraviolet rays from camera flashlights degrade the murals. Not all Japanese are anime lovers. Don't be discouraged.　Some people don't like cosplay. Casual fashion is encouraged. Japan is not perfect. The tiresome rules are there to keep things safe and clean, and for the idiots who can't do them voluntarily. Again, guests have manners. Imagine asking at the home of a dear friend. And act as if your homeland is written on your back in big letters.
