thank goodness, it's not just me who says they retain almost nothing from your 1 minute videos. you skip right over the from and send issues. I guess you assume that we already know how to do what you're posting and that's why you just race through them without any concern. so long as you can say you did it in under a minute, it doesn't matter if you actually taught us anything. have you even read the many comments that say the same thing as I? you taught us nothing and we learned nothing. that's not how a classroom should be run, Greg

Well I see I'm not the only one that has this issue. All you experts go through your instructions so damn fast, there's no way we can get all the lingo, sub menus, pointing at this and that etc. Buddy, your not making these instructional videos to show how damn fast you can do them. Example, all I could understand was you take USB connect to Midi. Where in the hell is a USB connection on a Midi keyboard!!!!!! You are not impressing anyone!! I tell you what , I'm a jet rated pilot. How about I show you how how simple it is to control the radios in 60 seconds! And brag how easy it is. You are not the only one at Personus that does this. Theirs actually one person that understands that he is trying to teach us and understands you have to go slow and explain every move and where it is on the screen. That's how it should be done. Hi, I watched your video "Studio one minute:how to connect a midi keyboard" it appears that you're using an Apple computer in the video. Is the setup the same for Windows? I'm using Windows 10. I put in the manufacturer and device names, but when I clicked receive from, I only see the name of my interface, not the device name. Do I need to select the interface for receive from?

Hallo, vorab: top Videos! Ich bin absoluter Neuling in Sachen "Studio", Keyboard gekauft, PreSonus Audiobox gekauft, weil ich aufnehmen will (ev. mal mit Gesant). Und nach den Basics kommen schon die ersten Probleme: ich nehme 2 Spuren auf, Bsp. Melodie linke Hand, Melodie rechte Hand ... und bekomme es NICHT hin, auf hundertstel Sekunde genau den Takt einzuhalten, wenn ich ein Lied 2 x spiele. Also geht Spuren übereinanderlegen schon gar nicht mehr? Hast Du schon ein Video für das Problem, wiel ich nicht einmal den Fachbegriff für mein Problem kenne 😅. Asynchrone Spuren? Oder nach was muss ich suchen? Danke vorab!

Worthless tutorial. Why can't studio one be constantly updated with the models of gear from all the manufacturers? Or at LEAST have the manual add WORK. All these bells and whistles yet something so BASIC gets overlooked 6 versions in. I feel like I'm wrestling with a Win95 pc with ancient hardware

worthless....you guys speak Mac...know nothing of windows. There's no "prefrences". Holy cow....many of these videos are pretty useless to somebody learning this on a Windows machine. Cubase is NOT a task like this, its a much robust DAW than S1. Studio One's not quite a pro DAW software yet. You're never going to transition people with this whacked up tutorial approach. Sit behind a console sometime and actually TRY this on a windows machine chief.

As someone mentioned below, the "receive from and send to" part seems to be the big question for a lot of beginners, including me, but he just blew right by that part. I've never been able to get the midi keyboard working correctly and I even get a error message on startup that says "midi port not found". I've used Studio one for years for recording, but trying to use the midi keyboard has been very frustrating.

I'm not sure why doing this video in "60 seconds or less" was important. If you had taken 2-3 minutes, you could have slowed down which would have made it much clearer for people who are just beginning to record.

I can not get my midi dmk.25 spacline controller to work with studio one artist 5 and its a brand new keyboard i had it working once now it does nothing i downloaded all the drivers needed and still nothing the power comes on he key board the light lights up .It indicates that midi is there in studio one artist 5 but it is not getting any sound coming out when i hit the key board to play a note can any one help really struggling with this one .i am using Apple Mac book pro.I have even down loaded the universal controller and still nothing works The key board is a usb .

Really quick tutorial. Please, accept my apologies to say you talk to quickly and makes the tutorial rather hard to follow. You would benefit from elocutions lessons and slow down when speaking.

Being unable to record midi with my keys in Studio One is the main reason why I never produce on it. Every time I tried playing my midi hardware, SO4 stops. So, I use this software for recording audio, mixing and mastering. But when it comes to producing with midi capabilities - well, I'm sorry to say that - , I use Cubase.

I can't get any sound from this Akai mini and I did everything in the vid. I'm also using presonus audiobox and presonus speakers and I know it's something simple but I can't get any sound from this thing. Anything you can think of I'm doing wrong???

Newbie question. I finally managed to hook up my Casio CT300 to my laptop. However, the sounds that usually come out of the electronic keyboard (Grand Piano, for example) do not sound the same inside Studio One. So, how do I make the "real" sound coming out of Casio's electronic keyboard match with the sound going into Studio One's MIDI controller? Thank you so much.
