Richie’s character development was so satisfying.

The glorious part of this scene is that Richie embodied the main attribute that Carmen saw in him to send him to that restaurant, and not only handled the incoming orders efficiently, but didn't lose his temper OR freak out, even giving Fak the boost of confidence needed to throw himself in FOH. The marked difference between Richie in this moment vs. all throughout the season AND just afterwards when he burns Carmen while he's in the middle of a severe loss of his own temper, and even then Richie still had the growth and honesty to tell Carmen he loved him.

Just an incredibly well-written episode

that song choice hit me like a freight train! i wanted to leap off my couch and jump around the living room. but i sat and watched instead and probably cried a little. my favorite scene of the series so far

By far, one the BEST shows I've come across ever.

It’s a soft open with a specific guest list so they def know exactly what they need on station and are prepped up, but still the only unbelievable bit about this scene is that they can go a whole service without needing something from the walk in.

“Richie… Drive” gave me chills on a level I can’t explain

When Richie started driving and the music kicked in, I basically stood up in my living room with a fist raised up. The most satisfying moment of the entire season.

Once Animal hit,I knew our boy would crush it

Amazing scene, absolutely incredible but it seems everyone is missing this:
“Carm, you ok?”
“No!”

They made 200 dinners for 100 people.

I love the contrast of the absolute chaos in the kitchen and all the customers thoroughly enjoying themselves after this. Really brings it all together.

sydney and richie working together is a full circle moment. everything is a full circle moment... for the supporting characters, except for Carmy

The scene had me crying. Riches arc through this entire thing is inspiring. Those short visuals showing his tempo and direction becoming clean and streamlined was great. Like watching a treasure map magically appear. Great scene, visuals,timing, and dioluge.

Favorite scene of the whole series, it's so awesome seeing Richie step up and him and Sydney really come together! This clip is cut a little short, would've loved to see Richie slamming the final ticket down at the end of the 5 minutes!

THE USE OF ANIMAL IS ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS

This cast is superior, top shelf. A superb ensemble. Bravo!

Love this scene

I've watched this scene many, many times. And it's beautiful on so many levels, I almost tear up. Richie finding it within himself.

The song fits perfectly into the chaos but what I really love is that Eddie Vedder also waited tables (and IN CHICAGO) and to this day he’ll still get waiter ptsd nightmares. That never goes away. I’ve worked line, bussed, was a food runner, dishwasher and an expo (on a Saturday night at the place I worked at we’d have up to 150-200 people in the building and afterwards mentally I was just exhausted). The sound of a ticket printing machine I’ll still occasionally hear even when there isn’t one around me

the bear is sexist because it depicts Sydney, a leading woman, as needy as a white cis male would imagine

Wonder what digital clock they used.

No one talks enough about the masterful use of music in this show -- especially from groups that have a connection TO the city of Chicago. Pearl Jam is beloved there, and that kick-in of "Animal" was absolutely spot-on perfect to set the frenetic mood. My compliments to the music director. (And the chefs.)
