Minister Lee, anymore 0.11 cents/sqft/month for 23,000 sqm Good Class Bungalow for Singaporeans to rent or not? I am sure many Singaporeans want to rent for 3 X 3 X 3 X 3 years "special" contract, no need re-tender type. In HDB, even the aircon ledge exceeding 1m width is counted as chargeable GFA space. Maybe Singaporeans should tell the HDB the aircon ledge is non "livable space"?
ОтветитьSingaporeans expect the highest standard of conduct for cabinet and senior ministers.
Ответитьopposition Members of Parliaments have voiced concerns over the surging price of HDB flats, which would price them out of reach for many ordinary Singaporeans, Minister for National Development Desmond Lee has rejected Progress Singapore Party (PSP)’s proposal to reset the current housing price, insisted that close to 70 per cent of Build-To-Order flats are affordable with S$8,400 median household income.
ОтветитьDesmond Needs to shut up since he can say whatever he wants the double standard is there if a WP Mp says this all of them would up in arms
ОтветитьThree remarks by three ministers give us reason to think that they are deflecting and not providing a solution.
Yesterday, Minister S Iswaran attributed high COE prices to rising incomes and zero car growth. It came in the wake of Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong saying that BTO flat prices have moved up in tandem with incomes.
Is this the way of the future?
Many Singaporeans want low cost public housing, and even when it is leasehold, they do not want the value of their housing to drop. Many non-PAP parties have suggested the idea of a more equitable housing, but the word affordable may make some of them nervous as they do not want their prized investment to lose value.
ОтветитьWith limited land size and a lack of spare capacity, property prices in Singapore are expected to continue to rise in the coming year, impacting the overall market, including HDB resale flats, which are moving towards million-dollar values that could hardly be affordable to ordinary Singaporeans.
ОтветитьReal estate agents have reported an increase in tenant complaints, with some landlords asking for unreasonable rents, with some even asking for a 60% increase in rent.
ОтветитьThey also warned that prices could rise as much as 20% again this year.
Some expats, who were previously interviewed by FT and believed that Hong Kong was the most expensive city, are now considering moving out of Singapore due to the rising cost of living and high rental prices.
For example, a British mother of three arrived in Singapore from Hong Kong two years ago, hoping to find more living space for her growing family.
However, the rental for their four-bedroom flat has now risen 61%, and they have decided to move back to Hong Kong as the cost of living in Singapore continues to increase.
I wish these politicians shut up on property! property! property! I am sick and tired of it!!! There so much of social injustice and inhumanity here. People were lot happier when they were living in Kampongs!!!
ОтветитьPM PLEASE Do NOT LIE
We do NOT OWN the HDB.
They are 99 Year LEASE. All goes to ZERO Value.
Remember the AMK SERS Saga in ur OWN Constituency ?
The current situation of ridiculous pricing for both rental and resale market is the definition of 'Sinkie pwn Sinkie'
ОтветитьAlso NEW Category of Housing; SUPER DUPER PRIME++++
RIDOUT Bungalow for Vivian n Ah Sham is SUPER DUPER PRIME++++
How are they “affordable” ??????
ОтветитьForeigners keep coming in ! How the House Price be affordable ?! VTO PAP !
ОтветитьTons of excuse. PAP: HDB price so high is because too many people.
Also PAP: We need to bring in more migrants because there are not enough people.😮😮😮
Useless
ОтветитьVery simple. Ban HDB resale and only allow to sell back to Govt at cheap price😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.
Ответитьtell me HDB is actually renting without telling me its renting...
ОтветитьJust vote PAP out!
Ответитьoh wow next election i must vote pap, they really care about singaporeans!
Ответитьselling h d b flats are the best to n most way to make money as every transactions money goes in , from levys , stamp dutys, g s t , then to the ground are town council fees, water bills , conservatory chargers all are g s t inclusive that's why they keep building n building wherever there are empty land they will squeezed a small block even many " forest " are cleared to build more blocks because they are money spining machine . Even blocks that are ten times more beautiful n stronger than Hong Kong units they will torn down to build more blocks so that can sell more n collect more. No wonder the world are getting warmer that affected other countries floods n forest fire .every blocks wood n materials are needed to build cabinets that are supplied overseas thats where illegal logging took place n the lists goes on........ small island yet have the most wastage n unnecessary consumption where every where food courts n shopping centers.
ОтветитьThis is horrible for me because I can't buy a BTO or resale flat in a good location because I have exceeded the income ceiling. So I'm being forced to stay in small private housing which can't fit my family and the government basically forms an elitist enclave here coz we can't buy flats. Either that or I have to buy a resale flat in a poor location, not very meritocratic. Not very well thought out.
People under the income ceiling are already trying to buy private properties and driving prices up, but people above income ceiling can't have the option to buy cheaper resale flats. So we have to compete for private properties, which is a smaller pool of properties and it will probably drive land prices up immensely.
These new rules being pushed out are becoming increasingly unfair for people in my income group. We keep getting less but we're asked to pay more taxes.
Too much commitments on pproperty will end up poverty in their olden years .don't expect prices will keep going up. Just looked at china those ugly concrete buildings everywhere eventually all developers stashed n swindle away those investments n live in luxurious overseas leaving owners with super low quality units many even uncompleted. All becomes ghost town n wastage of resources that should have put to other good use.
ОтветитьYounger generations must wake up thinking that their salary as at now can afford to get a unit around few hundred k they think that their jobs will be there forever but never look far that many foreigners are coming in to take away theirs jobs n when their jobs are taken away how are they going to service that high price small n cramped h d b units . Don't be fool by b t o that are " beautiful n colourful " to look at but when their jobs are snatched away with more n more " s " pass holder their jobs will be at risks by then are too late.when world economy crisis strikes just like the Asian economy crisis n 2008 crises. Nothing will go up n up. Even Hong Kong richest li ka shing have to gave up his properties why have to flee when he have the money.
ОтветитьWhat is Plus flats?
Ответить1 trillion reserves yet cannot return our local breed Singaporean whole-life hard-earned stressed n sweat c p f money after the first return at 55 n have to wait another dark long ten years at 65 before one can clawing to get withdrawal. What a shame small island small population yet cannot look after our seniors who built up Singapore what we are today but our leaders n ministers are world highest paid than many big countries leaders.
ОтветитьBuying h d b should not charged levy as they are meant for locals who wants a decent roof above their head n we are entitled for as local breed Singaporean who served n s as male citizens only charged levy to those private houses like condo n landed houses.
ОтветитьWhich minister lives in HDB flat?
ОтветитьH d b subsidy are just another terms to fool Singaporean that government are " helping " us to get a flat in fact all prices are inclusive just like Robinson sales 50% offer thats not savings for consumers that only Robinson are earning less 50% but earlier sales they already make tonnes similarly goes to " subsidy " all are gimmicks n marketing strategies to dool consumers to believe that they have offer . What ever the marketing tricks eventually consumers are the loser.
Ответить14k combined income ceiling for a HDB flat are you kidding me Mr Desmond lol it’s expensive and that’s affordable
Ответить???????????????
ОтветитьImmigrants coming in from PRC, India, Filipino, Vietnam, Mynmar, that's why needs more HDB flats for them when they became New citizens
ОтветитьPAP need to start to do a public survey exercise on people’s need if you are not able to listen to what the people want. Even if some of them might be the “smaller group” they should be taken care of. Suggest you do that before your next election before you lost more and more seat in the parliament. Some of your proposal do not sound smart.
ОтветитьPrices is rising in every major city not just Singapore but here we don't have cheaper rural area to move to. That's the main problem.
Some lower income friends already gave up on owning a house and lived with their parents.
Some who had oversea spouse in South East Asia bought houses overseas and rent house here. Plan to retire overseas if it gets too expensive here.
It was the govt that had induced speculation on HDB
ОтветитьHow to be affordable???
Hdb bto prices for 4-5 room is already half a million and above in some mature estate.
Resale flat is over $1m
My salary for the past 20 years increase by only a little comparatively 😢😢
30 years ago my parents bought their BTO 4 room flat in Yishun for only 35k. The 4 room flat is equivalent to today's 5 room flat size.
House prices supposedly increase by 10 fold and more over 30 years.
I don't think the common people's salary increase by 10 fold and more during this time.
Say a cleaner whose salary $500 30 years ago. His/her salary should be $5000 and above now. No, that's not the case. Most cleaners today are earning only $1000+.
Finally!
ОтветитьMisusing the word
Affordable!!
Living a simple life is the happiest
ОтветитьEVen some ugly flats in AMK cost more than 1 million dollar, you call that affordable? You call typical pricing of 500k for a tiny space affordable? Singapore inflation from Housing to Vehicles, cost of living are all hype but nothing but what I call GREED
ОтветитьGood for Singapore
ОтветитьGov cannot force some of us to get married in order to get a flat.
I have divorce for over 14 yes. (That is an arrange marriage and lost my 1st time benefits in a blink of an eye for HDB)
Doing rentals just to have a roof over my head
Have a lot of cpf but no cash result in years of rentals.
Stuck in limbo irrigardless of appeal MP n such ..
Haish.
1% of us is forgotten.
Relief for the rest but not to the forgotten ones
want to keep it affordable in the long run? government must impose a valuation ceiling. yes i would like my flat to have a value limit as long as it applies to ALL hdb flat owners. no use having the $14k income ceiling as the max loan a couple can take is around $1.5 to $1.6mil if the flat is $2.1 mil after 10 yr MOP at the central area
ОтветитьHdb for million dollars? Day light robbery..
ОтветитьDefine affordable
ОтветитьI like how the government gaslights its people into believing half a million dollar shoesboxes are "affordable". Repeat a lie long enough and it's true I spose.
ОтветитьJust focus on discourage selling , what's so hard about it?
ОтветитьWhat about for standard flats. Is there a cool-down for private property owners
Ответить
