Late comment, but wanted to add that you're correct in front wheel drive being more optimized for regen. The motor also uses a hairpin style permanent magnet motor, which is very efficient at lower speeds. These two features combined make the Bolt EV and EUV hyper efficient for town and city driving. You'll get closer to 300 miles range in good weather in the city.
ОтветитьI think the bolt charges from 20% to 80% in 50 minutes at 50kwh because I noticed the Bolts I see sitting at public chargers for around that time.
ОтветитьHey Marcus thank you so much for these videos! Do you have this car for sale? I’m trying to get one but a bit low on funds, wondering if you could help out 😁
ОтветитьMy only trouble with EVs is Ok. You spend say 30,000 on a gas vehicle. You drive it 10,000 miles a year for ten years and everything is fine. Your not expecting to have to replace the motor.
You spend the same for an EV and drive it the same mileage and time and what’s the chances the battery will still be good ? Are you going to replace the battery for another 10,000 dollars. Battery degradation is something people don’t think about unless their looking at the percentage on they’re smartphone.
Something seems off with your audio here
ОтветитьGood video!! I love my 2019 Bolt Premier!!!
Ответитьa $36,000 "economy" car.....
Ответить32k is overpriced.
ОтветитьBREAKING!:
MKBHD gives positive review to a chevy EV, Tesla anounces bankruptcy minutes later
we MUST STOP THIS MAN!!!!
My wife just got one. It doesn't have a garage door opener button like many, many, many cars these days and I don't have a spare remote for my building so that's annoying. The car is nice but the interior is rental car cheap.
ОтветитьHas anyone noticed the discord icon ? ngl, it's cool that it has that lol
ОтветитьMy question goes for ppl that live in Los Angeles . Is it worth to get an electric car when you don’t have a charger at home ?
ОтветитьLol chevy discontinued it
ОтветитьAs always this was another amazing review. Thanks for this as I am thinking of helping my kids get into something like this. I personally was wanting to ask why haven't you reviewed a Chevy Blazer EV? I ask because I currently drive a Normal EV and have been holding off in getting a Chevy Blazer EV, but recently test drove one and it was basically just like my 2019 blazer with newer features and an EV. Would love to get your insight on this vehicle before I decide to buy and am sure others would feel the same. Especially after all you said about the Bolt EUV it sounds like it might be the same if you get the basic version of it.
ОтветитьAnd... They don't make them anymore.
ОтветитьThe best deal in electric cars is a lot like the world's tallest midget.
ОтветитьI really don't like how I'm considering an EV
ОтветитьThe Bolt is a car with an electric motor, very easy to drive. The Tesla 3 is a computer with a car, and is not easy to dive. Do you remember your experience with your first computer, that’s what it’s like owning a Tesla. Yes, I own a new model 3
Ответитьdo not ever re use the pixel 7 pro to shoot
ОтветитьChevy has been making a bunch of electric cars that are under 25k
ОтветитьLong press the home button and it will take you to Android auto. So glad I figured this out.
ОтветитьHey just a note on the audio for this one. I felt like the audio was moving left and right a lot in this video as I watched with headphones. It really messed with me.
But man, this car looks decent! And I’m loving these videos.
They should have called it the Chevy Toaster.
ОтветитьWell, it's a year later and Chevy, in its infinite wisdom, has axed the Bolt E[U]V. But my plan is to wait until 1/1/2025, pick up a used Bolt EUV Premier (there should be a fair number available with leases expiring and people upgrading to the Equinox EV) and claim the used EV $4K tax credit. With luck, I'll drive away with one for under $20K + TTL.
ОтветитьThe german bargain EV is an electric Volkswagen Up. Initially a 2012 car, several refreshes ans two electric versions lead to a EV with all comfort items, approx. 150 miles range (remember: Germany, which is somewhere between 250 and 300km), very low consumption, around 9 kwh/100km (which is less than half of a small Tesla) and they go pre owned for 14k approx.; the last years, 22 and 23 are the most wanted as they shipped with more or less all options stock.
ОтветитьNice car. But…….pretty sad that what’s considered a base model is still $36K. Crazy.
Ответитьjust got this in standard Model 2023 in black , with 20.4k miles, almost new condition and no wrecks for 17.8k USD TOTAL..
and thats not even including the tax credit.
did i get a good deal? 😎
300 mile i n summer, winter 200plus .precool the cabin in summer while plugged in, in winter preheat the cabin while plugged in
ОтветитьWhat happens when you block the interior camera?
Ответить2025 Bolt EUV confirmed!
Ответитьif the mileage was 300 this would sell like hot cakes 220 is kind of low.
ОтветитьLMAO- Not even CLOSE to a Model S!!!!!!
ОтветитьBolt is a great product. As someone who appreciates utility and efficiency in a daily EV it's a tough package to beat. There are plenty of subjective things some people may like or dislike (styling, whether you need super fast charging when not charging at home, etc) but objectively, it's a really solid little EV, and a great value. As someone wh's owned plenty of exciting cars from Porsche, Lotus, etc, etc. I'm a fan...function over form always does it for me.
ОтветитьThe pixel makes Marques look a bit like a corpse. Quite cool in temp and slightly magenta tint. Gets textures really well tho.
ОтветитьHonestly, the performance wasn't bad. 0-60 in sub 7sec is more than fine. What about acceleration while driving? It's exceptional. You have way more passing acceleration than other el-cheapo grocery-getters.
ОтветитьDo aurus
Ответитьa year later and I just realised that the temperature in the car is 69
ОтветитьYou briefly mentioned the DC fast charging limitation, but I would really encourage people to use A Better Route Planner to scope out any longer trips they might want to take in the car and judge feasibility that way. This could easily add many hours of charging to a long trip, compared to a car that can charge at 250 kW peak (or higher). Personally, I would not really consider this car viable if I were planning any trips that relied significantly on DCFC...your mileage may vary. If you have another car or you're always going to fly longer trips, doesn't much matter.
ОтветитьYou can get a tesla for chaper
ОтветитьAnd in August 2024 I can buy one of these 2023 models with under 20k miles for $17000.
ОтветитьBest EV value car. 👏👏
ОтветитьDoes the Radio still ALWAYS come on when initializing the car? as in our '21, not defeatable. PIA

ОтветитьThe bolt embodies what every electric car should be. A cheap, boring point a to b car with decent range and cargo capacity
ОтветитьI agree. The 2023 Bolt EUV is best car I have owned in my 50 years of car ownership. Of course the bar is not high when compared to a VW Super Beetle, a Ford Pinto and the old Nissan Sentra.
ОтветитьI found a 2023 bolt EV for 15000 in 2024, it’s becoming even better of a deal as time goes on.
