There are no throws in the shot put, only puts (correct/original word is putt, as in golf).
In fact it is against the rules to throw the shot.

Just for some info. I am a 14 year old boy who participates in high school Athletics. I am currently throwing
15 metres with a 5kg shot and around 17 metres with the 4kg. Which means that if I have been female,
I could have won around 7th or 8th place if I was older.

Why does every male thrower use the spin technique but the women still use the glide? I’m interested to know.

What they didn’t mention about her father is that was a three time pro bowler , 4 time all-pro, with THREE Super Bowl rings playing Nose Tackle for the 49ers. He is the only athlete to win a Super Bowl ring and an Olympic medal in the same season. I went to high school with Michelle’s little brother. Super nice and gifted family.
