Classic TV Themes: Eddie Dodd meets Veronica Clare

Well, they're meeting in this video anyhow. Two 1991 dramas that passed each other like ships in the night, but had one thing in common: they didn't last long. 'Eddie Dodd' was the tv version of the 1981 film 'True Believer' where James Woods as a firebrand defense attorney. TV's Eddie (Treat Williams) took cases nobody else wanted. Nobody else wanted to watch them either and after six shows Dodd retired from practicing law. Dennis McCarthy wrote the theme.
While Eddie was trying to get people out of jail, 'Veronica Clare' was trying to throw them IN the clink. She was a P.I. and owner of a jazz club, making her a throwback to the days of film noir detectives, or at least a female Peter Gunn (he spent a lot of time at Edie's jazz club). Nine episodes and out. Veronica's bluesy theme is by Gil Melle.
Too bad Eddie never did meet Veronica. They might have hit it off.
