Hello Riley. Moving from TOS to Ninja. Please help with this two questions. Is there a continues ticker for /ES we can use in Ninja or every 3 months the ticker needs to be updated for that quarter? Also in Ninja is there a way to distinguish background color of Globex Hours from Regular Trading Hours?

Thanks a lot Riley...Great demonstration...am starting to use Ninja this week and i needed this, their charting is far much advanced and very good esp in reading price action...compared to Tradovate chart, i prefer Ninja.

Man ninja trader is like 1990s stock trading platform. Such annoying UI. TV + IBKR is much better. Any specific reason you're using such outdated UI?

I have selected when the trade is ready to be entered on a Market Buy or Market Sell Order. Objective is to move the stop above the position 1 tick when price permits and then create a reentry if price moves against the initial position.

Then I place a simple Market order ATM with a profit target and a stop.

Once the order fills then I want to place the conditional order, hoping price will move 3 ticks (this number needs to be changeable) in favor of the position.
Once price moves in favor of the position, the stop is to automatically move to 1 tick in favor of the position.

Then if I get stopped out, which I hope occurs, I will be looking to reenter the position at a more favorable entry because now a better entry can be made. This will be a reentry several ticks “above” the pullback. I will decide when conditions are good to initiate this reentry order . The reentry order is static is does not “chase”. Then if price moves further away from the initial position I may elect to replace the reentry order with a more favorable entry.

If this is not clear please let me know.

Order Conditions for ES trade:
1. Buy or Sell the market and place a Stop 6 ticks and Profit Taking at 16 ticks
2. Condition once price moves to 3 ticks in the trades favor, move stop automatically to 1 tick profitable (with regard to buy or sell) ie 1 above entry price for Buy order or 1 tick below entry price for sell order. Profit taking remains at 16 ticks.

Order Condition #2 for ES trade:
1. Set limit entry price
2. Once filled then duplicate the previous conditional order (in essence do it again)
3. Order Conditions for ES trade:
a. Buy or Sell the market and place a Stop 6 ticks and Profit Taking at 16 ticks
b. Condition once price moves to 3 ticks in the trades favor, move stop automatically to 1 tick profitable (with regard to buy or sell) ie 1 above entry price for Buy order or 1 tick below entry price for sell order. Profit taking remains at 16 ticks.

Order Condition #3 for ES trade:
1. Situation is the position has been stopped out and price has moved to a more favorable entry.
2. Enter a reentry limit order X number of ticks above the current price, which is in the direction of the initial (buy or sell order) and just sit there.

I know this video is 3 years old and by now he most likely corrected his vernacular since then, but it's clear he came from the Options world because he thinks that "ATM Strategy" means "At the Money" when in fact it stands for "Automated Trading Strategy" 😊

thanks dude, ij paused it like a hundred time but got the charting part. when you did the buying and selling I'm lost. you go way to fast and don't explain what a runner is or scalp or if your buying low or selling short or what. you talk so fast during those parts like you've done it a million times and we haven't. good job on the charting stuff and thanks.

Great video! I'm brand new to Ninja Trader and I just got a demo account, but the trading stops at 4pm for MES on my charts. I thought that Futures are supposed to be pretty much all the time except for a few hours. Does anyone know why the chart stops?
