To make the metaverse experience more immersive, companies are using cutting-edge technologies like blockchain, augmented reality and virtual reality, 3D reconstruction, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of things to power the 3D world. The continuous rise in cybercrime has revealed just how profitable it could be to break into a company’s or an individual’s online account. The metaverse is likely to bring entirely new cyberattacks, in addition to the conventional phishing, malware, and hacking, due to its architecture. Cryptocurrency and non-fungible tokens (NFTS) are commonly used in the metaverse, and hackers may find them interesting. Opening the metaverse up to widespread innovation could also lead to technological upgrades for sectors like education, training prospective doctors how to perform surgeries in a metaverse environment before doing so on a real person.
