When God gave the land to the Israelites after Moses led them out of Egypt, the Israelites went into the land and conquered the people but did not eliminate all of them. They made those who remained slaves and they lived within the land. Almost 6,000 years later, the Israelites/Jews return to the land and essentially did the same thing and the land is still being fought over. The Palestinian/Jew fight over the land of Israel is not a war that started in 1948 nor is the solution a political one.

At first the Palestinians/PLO didn't want a 2 state solution. WHY? Because, to agree to a 2 state solution (in their opinion) would "legitimize" Israel in the Middle East. Now, Israel doesn't want a 2 state solution. WHY? Because, a 2 state solution would legitimize The Palestinians ( whom Israel and The US agree, don't exist) and hamper Israel's "EXPANSION".

He forgets to mention the countless attacks on Israel from Hamas (The duly elected organization elected by the Palestinians) and suicide bombers. Israel is a tiny sliver of land surrounded by huge Arab countries that are vocal and active about their desire to wipe israel off the planet. If this was happening to the US I certainly hope our government would protect us by eliminating the threat.
