What she’s saying prolly the Beach gotten too crowded during the weekends,I went there for two days(Wed Thursday) there’s no wait entering the beaches,everybody picked up their own trashes on the beach,there are many families having fun residents saying hi welcoming etc,beach was clean like usual.

A buddy of mine has family just recently went over there told me it was very beautiful. He recommended that I should go and take my family. But after watching this video and see how the residents are dealing with tourism I don't think I'll be going don't really want to add and be a bother.

Tell that to the Washoe Indians who were true natives there.. now you can’t enjoy “your beach” 😢

Way to go Darcie, I feel for all you locals. I have friends that just moved away from Truckee and told me stories about all the litter that's left and how disrespectful some are. It breaks my heart because of what a treasure Lake Tahoe is. Thanks for protecting it. 💙

Same situation with Banff Alberta Canada tourists are a double edge sword they create the economy yet also create most of the garbage, noise and overrun the facilities so locals can’t use it. In a free society there’s nothing anyone can do there’s no privilege living in a city just because you grew up there.

So is the video supposed to show something? Looks normal to me. Actually looks like it's slow. They said car traffic but I only saw 20 cars waiting for the light to turn green. I didn't see 100+cars. Just a couple of people by the lake. Is the lake built for only 10 people at a time or is it going to break if 5000 people show up. I've seen smaller lakes handle more people.

We lived over in Alta Sierra and would go during the week and it would still be busy. Just like Branson, Missouri you just gotta get used it because the land is beautiful and everybody wants to see it because they don't have it where they live. There's only one Lake Tahoe.

The solution is very simple,,open All the entrances from All the Houses around the lake with the signs private property,,this Lake is for the tourist,,take the private property signs off and let the people go and enjoy the Lake,,nobody lives in does empty houses anyway, everybody knows that, selfish Rich people who own does house are the Real problem,,

Residents are happy about increase of the property prices that they bought paying few thousands and now worth millions, but not happy about the people who visits which is the reason why they are rich now.. Very much Karen's..

Im afraid to go there 30 yrs later. The bay area probably has the place gutted with breweries and Tesla chargers and dumping plastic and coffee cups everywhere expecting staff to pick it up

I just went to Lake Tahoe with my family earlier this year. You can't go on the beach unless you pay more than $100 dollars. It was way overcrowded with no available parking spots as well. Not going back
