Many years ago I came across a way to drop a transmission. Get a 2x12 wider then your truck get a collection of wood block. Block up both sides of the 2x12 until it rests on the transmission. Un hook the transmission from the truck. Then take out one block from each side at a time, slowly bringing the transmission to the floor. This way you don't have to worry the transmission falling off the jack. It also works great for putting the transmission back in, also 2x12 gives you space to slide the transmission into place. I found that I was able to take each block out or in because of the leverage. Good luck, and yes you will be going back and forth a few times.

It seems that wendytravis6427 believes I was being rude because I expressed concern as to Heaths health because of his obvious weight loss. I really do hope you are doing well Heath despite what another individual may think. If I didn't, I wouldn't have stayed a subscriber from the time you & the family lived in town to now.

Heath Cedar and kids. Heath, it’s remarkable to see the amount of work that you do around the ranch. There is so much to do. I wonder sometimes how do you get the energy to complete all the work? Being a rancher or a Farmer is a lot of work. You have so much to be proud of. until next time. Please take care and stay safe. Love you guys.🍺🍺🥤🥤👍🌹😘🇺🇸🌈🌞😇🕊🙏❤️

Have you thought about doing a 50+ Gallon Bradford White Water Heater. I swear by them and my clients love their reliability. I service AO Smith and they have warranty issues across the board at the worst possible times.

Before you stick any more money into the Navian water heater. Get ahold of Mikey pipes "the pipe doctor" in NY. He's discovered a huge problem with them leaking carbon monoxide brand new out of the box. He was in a huge battle with them in court. He ended up taking his videos down that was exposing all their faults. So please talk with him by phone so you can get the real info before you install the possible danger in your home.

Hate to tell you this but it's your fault your water heaters keep going out not the manufacture. Like you said your water heater is heating from 34f to, what, 110f or more. What do you think a temperature differential like that does to the metals in the heater? Also when you heat water it expands. When it starts at such a low temp it expands even more.
Your failure is that you don't have an expansion tank on the system. I guarantee you that this is the reason the last 4 water heaters failed, no other.
Get that expansion tank on ASAP or that current tank is going to fail. You are just lucky you have not flooded your house or worse injured someone including yourself. I'm usually not a safety Sally type of person, but blaming the past 4 failures on the water heater company, especially when you were a plumber if I'm remembering correctly.

Hi!

About the tankless water heater - isn’t there supposed to be some sort of pressure system to protect the heater from cracking? Just wonders if that is somehow the problem? You probably know better than me since you used to work with plumbing. I know water heaters with a tank has a security pressure valve that opens if the pressure becomes to high.

Watching you clear that brush always makes me sad that I live in an area of Europe where even a quarter acre is prohibitively expensive. Average land price here is 800 euros per square meter, at roughly 4000 square meters in an acre that's 3.2 million euros. Can't even fathom owning my own hill!

Is it really necessary to tear down all of those live trees? That’s terrible what you are doing to that land. The deer should be left to be free not caged up like you have done. Just to show off to who??? Ridiculous!!!!

Re: The temperature of your well water causing problems for the tankless HW heater. I built a solar panel HW preheater 45 years ago for use with a electric HW tank. Mounted panel on the shop roof, it raised the intake temperature in the winter by 25-30 degrees and in summer about 50-60 degrees. This was in Yakima, Wa. where we have 100 degrees of temperature swings thru out the year.

I don’t think you mentioned that you had the recirculating valve installed in your Navien water heater system. I installed one in the master bath (furthest point away) and it made the delivery of hot water available in 20 seconds. If you didn’t install the valve I highly recommend you do so.

Does your water heater has an anode rod? All the minerals in your water must cause major problems with the water heater and appliances.
