How To Connect JBL Bar 500 5.1ch Soundbar To TV | Optical, HDMI ARC and Bluetooth| #Ad

My Samsung TV has 3 HDMI ports. Only one of these is labeled HDMI ARC. When I connect the BAR 500 HDMI ARC/eARC port to the TV HDMI ARC port, I hear no sound coming out of the BAR 500. On the TV, the only audio options that are selectable are TV speakers, Bluetooth or Digital Optical (No HDMI ARC output option). Thus far, I have only been able to get sound out of the BAR 500 using the Digital Optical port on BAR 500 and TV.
