How good is the noise canceling for the mic? So the person your talking to isn't hearing your truck and road noise? 🤔
ОтветитьThanks for the review! I have wondered if it’s worth the extra money and you’ve helped me make that decision. Quality and ease of use along with functionality sold me. I love Garmin on my boat and am slowly adopting it for my truck too.
Great information and I appreciate you trying to give the Rand and BP kudos along the way
I can attest to the cheap feeling of the ClearDryve 220. In fact I have gone through about 4 in the past 2 years as the plastic cracks in the wishbone area. If you struggle to find hats that fit your large head avoid the 220.
ОтветитьCleardrive is extremely fragile mine lasted half year.
ОтветитьIf I'm paying $399.99 this better be compatible with my game console 😆 🤣
ОтветитьGreat review. I absolutely hate the controls on the Rand McNally 220. Maybe if they were raised more you could feel them. Trust me calloused working hands will fumble around feeling for controls. It was designed for a pencil pusher with smooth hands.
ОтветитьGarmin for me. BP450 lasted 5 years, but I hear the new one is garbage. CD seems flimsy. I'm going with the Garmin. Just gotta explain the price to the wife lol.
ОтветитьDo they both mute when you lift up the microphone from your mouth
ОтветитьI’ve use the B550, the S-450, and the B-650 from BlueParrott. All of them have had that exact same issue where they hang up randomly and sometimes so many times in a row it’s aggravating. The S-650 also has garbage for noise cancelling and it’s plagued with software glitches.
I hope the Garmin is going to be a serious improvement from these BP headsets I’ve tried.
Garmen last 40 hrs I think
ОтветитьThe bone conduction ones are pretty good and decently cheaper than these.
ОтветитьDon't buy the Rand McNally. They used cheap plastic to connect the earpiece to the headband and it breaks easily.
ОтветитьThe rand McNeely was great until the mic stopped working. It was under 2 years old...
ОтветитьYou've convinced me with this to upgrade to the Garmin. I've been looking for a replacement for my 2 year old Jabra Elite 85h, since it's been starting to lose battery life, and it randomly decides to stop emitting sound from the speakers. I can't stand on-ear headsets, I need an over the ear headset. I also have hearing loss thanks to driving freightshakers, and the high pitched whistle from the turbo is painful for my ears. I'll gladly pay $400
ОтветитьMy biggest downside with trucking headsets are that the material starts peeling. I would get these if I knew they wouldn’t.
ОтветитьHow good is the sound and are they nice and loud? The bluetigernb elites has great sound
ОтветитьGood review/comparison. In making a purchase that gets a lot of use, buy once, cry once. My Dad was fond of telling me, "There's only one thing more annoying than something that doesn't work. It's something that only kinda works".
ОтветитьI wonder how sturdy the dezl is. My Rand McNally took a solid brass buckle, popped off the deck of my car haul trailer, right into the power button. Barely avoided busting my face open, but it hit my 270 dollar (with tax) headset. All it did is remove the clickie feeling from the power button. Power button took the direct hit, and it still works fine.
The rand is great for active work, like flatbed and car haul, but the cup will start to smell bad and disintegrate with cleaning. I've had mine for three years, the micro USB has died in it. I'm gonna try to get the port switched out by someone other than me. I've only got a competía A+, I have no interest in going back lmao
With all the drops, falls and abuse my 220 has taken, I'm no sure how the 200 from Garmin will compare. Especially since they're asking sennheisser prices. Though, now I've got an actual athletic earpiece set for when I'm out of the truck loading, so that does negate a lot of this. Still curious.
dont buy rand they break ive had 2 go out in 6 months
ОтветитьIve tried all the headsets, the dezl isn't worth it at all
ОтветитьGreat review dude, I've heard alot of good reviews on the RM 220 so I'm fixing to upgrade from my old still working Blue Parrot S450xt, love wearing them even if they're flimsy always falling off.
ОтветитьI bought the garmin 200 and I’m so happy I could cry
ОтветитьI got a Rand McNally 100 a few years ago on Clearance from a Walmart. It works well, but I don’t use it while I’m driving, because I have my phone connected to my Rand McNally Overdyve GPS. I’m about to switch my SiriusXM to a radio I can switch between my tractor and my f150, and I’ve been looking at the Garmin Dézl gps. This video is making me think about switching, and getting the headset as well. I’m definitely not going to get the 200 though.
ОтветитьWhat everyone seems to forget in these video is…how good is the mic? Does it block out the noise like the blue parrot. One of the biggest reason for buying these headsets is so other people can hear us over the truck or outside noise.
ОтветитьMy cleardryve 220 quit charging after 6 months since used loves points and got the delz200 is kicks the cleardryve to the curb its way more comfortable louder and cleaner and better noise canceling I can hear everything when I'm on the call sith my wife
ОтветитьI have the dezl 200 and the cleardryve 220. I use both sets periodically, but the blue tiger storm is my go-to. It's only one ear though. The dezl has a lot of features, but the cleardryve has louder earphones.
ОтветитьI use rand McNally 220.. problem with them is build quality is very very bad.. ear cups brakes broken within 5-6 months.. same thing happened with 2nd headphones.....0 out of 10..
ОтветитьGarmin it is.. thx for the video
ОтветитьCleardrye 220 is louder. And much better for music. The Garmin 200 is very bad for music and talking on. Not worth the price tag
ОтветитьAwesome review 👏 Thanks brother 🙏
ОтветитьOnly thing that matters is can you here them and can they here you and battery life. I upgraded from bp450 to 650 and returned the 650 within 2 days. That suction in the ear from noise canceling . Is irritating. So swapped for bp550 and people are saying they can't hear me.
Ответитьhello? mic test? worthless
Ответитьbose qc headphones better than anything youre going to find
ОтветитьAWESOME info. Really been wanting to upgrade my Blue Parrot 350 for a while. I was looking at the ClearDryve 220 but that Garmin, yeah, gonna save up those Pilot points for sure!
ОтветитьHey you have actually helped me make the decision. Yeah I’m in Apple’s walled garden and my dzel gps is literally stalking my iPhone daily. I’ve held it back because I stream podcasts through my speakers via bluetooth lighter hookup… but, the time has come to get serious, mentioning that I can also switch in the dash cam and have them work together has sold me. Thank You!
ОтветитьI think people want real world reviews not just sitting in an office talking about the products. Get behind the wheel so we can actually hear sample audio with noise cancellation and compare the two side by side
ОтветитьThanks for the video. It helped me pull the trigger on the Garmin. It's fantastic. You did touch on it in your video, but for someone watching this trying to decide. I will say it's a chunk. If you're wanting thin and lightweight this is not it.
ОтветитьThe video is great and I would like to work with you on our NewBeeM51 headset, which is also particularly suitable for truck drivers!
Ответитьyou are right!.. Unfortunately!
ОтветитьI have that exact same rand mcnally and it sucks, i always have to repeat my self when talking to people but the audio is good..
I might try the Garmin if the price is right
I dropped my 330s once and it broke. Chesp plastic
ОтветитьI had the dezl 100 for a short time. I had issues that half the time it wouldn't connect to the app without restarting the phone and the biggest drawback that nobody seems to miss is that it doesn't have a redial function which is what I have to use the most. I even contacted customer service and they wanted me to do stuff that they had written on a piece of paper but had nothing to do with the issue.
ОтветитьAwesome review!!!
ОтветитьI have the randy mcnally clearDrive 220 and i have a garmin otr 810 the 8 inch and i am happy. Wondered if i should have bought garmin but ill keep my cleardrives while they last me
ОтветитьI have to pull over to “redo my whole setup”? What planet are you living on?
ОтветитьOn the garmin what charger does it take is it a usb-c I can’t find any info on that
ОтветитьHow much external noise does the mic pickup besides your voice on the garmin? Is mic volume adjustable?
Can people clearly hear you and is the headphone volume loud?
I’ve had the Garmin for about a year now. Although one of the best sounding headphones and awesome in almost every way the material is very cheap. The extender for the main cup broke about 6 months in. Warranty ran out so had to Macguver it and use JB Weld to buy it back together. The leather from the ear ups and the head cushion has come unglued. I took care of this thing like a baby but the quality is so disappointing. $400 for a headset that will disassemble itself in a few months is not worth it.
ОтветитьI had the rand 100 and 220. I got a year out of each before they fell apart (100) or failed charging 220. I have a blue parrot s450 and its been reliable but battery life is terrible compared to the Rand McNally. I just bought the Dezl 200 and much to my dismay it only supports 1 Bluetooth device connected at a time. $300 on sale 🤦. I can't connect to my phone and GPS simultaneously. The much cheaper Rand 100 and Blue Parrot both support multiple devices without issues.
ОтветитьBro Extremely dissapointed with Garmin Dezl, hot on the ear, the earcups peeled after 6 months and now it broke on the adjustment zone because the is plastic, the microphone housing is poorly attached and lost it in a heart bear, the only thing good in my opinion is that you can confidently talk in while driving without worrying they might not hear you, but they cant hear me now anyways cause i either need to fix it or come up with another headset
