Jordan, you never need to feel bad for "feeling". When I was a very young bride during the Viet Nam war. I was traveling to Hawaii to meet my husband for his R&R from Viet Nam. As I sat at the LAX airport waiting for my flight. I watched them taking flag draped caskets off of planes. It made my heart skip a beat. That might be my husband someday. They did it very quietly because of disgusting protest. 😢 Thank God those horrible protest were not happening in our area. And also praise God in Heaven my husband came home with nothing wrong but lost hearing in one ear and a lot of innocense. Thank you for the lovely heartfelt tribute to our fallen. And through you I wish your Grandfather in Heaven a heartfelt thank you for his service. 😊❤🇺🇸🎼🙏

My grandparents raised me, and my grandfather was in WW2- he was stationed in Oahu when the Japanese bombed the Harbor
He told the best stories, I took so much for granted.

I know this song is for the service men and women who never made it home, but it makes me think of my family friend Robb. Some years ago, he tragically died in a plane crash. I remember sitting in my car on the day we got the news and this song came across my feed. He never served in the armed forces, but it made me think of how much he loved flying and how he always put his family first. It didn’t stop the tears from flowing, but it was definitely a much-needed comfort for everyone who knew him.

Oh wow. 😭😭 My dad fought in WW II. He was with Merrill Marauder's in Burma. My husband seeves 4 tours in. Vietnam. He passed away 3 yrs ago,my dad in 2008 at 84. Rip to these amazing men.

It's never wrong to show respect to those who served. Memorial Day is set aside as a day to specifically remember those who lost their lives in service to our country.

I had the privilege of serving in the Army for 20 years. I was fortunate enough to have never been in combat. The toughest thing I had ever experienced was to have to bury one of my young soldiers who died in an accident. As a First Sergeant one of your missions is to do your very best to protect your soldiers, which I was unable to do for this soldier. The second most difficult thing was to tell his fellow soldiers that he had passed away. The only thing stronger than the camaraderie in a military unit is the camaraderie of a military unit in combat. God rest all who have made the ultimate sacrifice for this wonderful country. 🇺🇸🪖🙏🏻❤️

Today honors those who never took off the uniform. I think we honor them every year as a comfort to the family. They will not be forgotten.

My mom suffered through my dad in WW2 on the battle ship Wisconsin in the south Pacific and 6 son,s who put on a uniform all thank God came home safe

A flyer who was shot down in WW II just reached home, remains were found off Papua New Guinea 80-some years after his bomber went down. An angel flight must have brought him home. Thanks for the tune.

Radney Foster was big in the 90’s, and is a great songwriter. I saw him years ago and he played for over 3 hours. He’s like a human jukebox and can literally sing just about anything you throw at him. Super talented.
