Just a theory I ran across on the cattle mutilations that I thought you would like.
US Military:

The Theory is most of the mutilations are east of Nevada Nuclear test sites, riding the mean winds and variations for el nino and la nina.
and here we go:
1) that the military are airlifting cattle downwind of tests and dissenting them for radiation sampling.
2) The helicopters have "hush kits" on them that make the rotor/engine noises muffled.
3) The incisions are done by lasers like used on battlefield that cut/cauterize the cuts
4) reason lips, noses, tongues, ears internal organs are taken is that the mucus membranes absorb radiation faster and internal organs like kidney's liver would hold radiation
5) blood either drained to test or when they get dropped out of helicopters it basically just oozes out and scavengers do the rest

I mean it's not the sexy "ufo" theory but it really does sound like something that they would have done/do for long term testing of effects.
The animals are eating grasses/vegetation and exposed 24/7 except for deep winter,

That's similar to referring to someone's remains as a "corpse" in front of the victim's family.
Certain words should be avoided regarding a decedent simply out of respect for them, their family, & friends.
