I started playing this game again. I noticed they buffed killing caravans in that they no longer give you negative opinion with the owner. Picking the dessert movement speed buff is really good.

Can you pay for an armorsmith and stock it up to "force" it to make endgame armors? In case you don't really aim for profit with workshops but as a way to power yourself up.

did the speed run for this ever happen?

Is it possible to go around and buy every Silver smith convert it to something else, then sell it, to make it so there’s only 1 place producing stuff and make the price go really high, or will the npcs turn those converted silver smiths back into them

Great explanation of the new workshops. I was worried because it didnt seem like WSs were viable anymore.

I was trying the silversmith method but my workshop is halted like all the time even when they have money and input, not for a day but for ages. Why is this? How do i stop it. Please help i think im going insane

Doing smithing will make u a lot more money for less effort so workshops are good to boost you're trading and not for making absurd amounts of money but still nice video

Any idea on why my Baltakhand Wool Weavery is stuck at 0 income. I've tried all sorts of things like putting wool in warehouse or buying all other workshops in town and changing them but it doesn't do anything. Isn't garments supposed to be one of the most lucrative goods?

I have a brewery that nets me zero. I supplied it with grain, its ware house is currently at 4000/6000, the 4000 being grain. It's been running for over a year. It produces nothing. Wtf.

q question: does the warehouse affect to the trading xp? i mean, instead of buy/sell, just produce/sell, can still have trade xp?

Do I have to manually put product into the workshop? My workshop isn't working. Do I need to assign a companion to run my workshop? If yes then how? Why isn't my workshop working on its own? TY

How do you know where to get cheap inputs and sell at the highest output? Isn't that a whole lot of traveling if you do this manually and the optimal place to buy and sell are far away from your workshop?

Boom so the smithy is the best shop u can buy! 🦾 just hopped back on after this update and I like it. Was confused at first but I get it now. I haven’t tested anything yet but so far smithy is probably the best one. Because if ur going into battles and taking all the loot u just smelt all the weapons down and u get a lot of smithing materials. So Basically 0 input and 200 output. We’ll see tomorrow 🤷‍♂️🦾

can caravans be combined with the warehouse?
As in, will my caravans ran out of a city take my outputs and go sell that in a place with better prices?
That seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to be able to do, but is it implemented?

Thanks for the guide mate! Do you happen to know if any other workshops effect the smithy or woodshop? Do you get fancy armor if there is a velvet weavery or a silver smith? Do you get tabard over armor if you have a wool or linene weavery? I play console so testing this myself would be torture.

Garmets could be good idea to make in Sanala and sale back to NPC to make best profits for all goods.
I found tool can be sold 200+ so Smithy is my first worksop since it consume crafting materials which I generate myself and have 0 trade value. Also using up to 75% production to store in warehouse if 25% can be positive income to gain renown with perk.

Can I just chuck all my crud in the warhouse instead of lugging it about?

Wine press is a lucrative business as well specially the green zone clan area is abundant with grapes 🍇 and they produce fast and plenty of wine

Brewery. Grain for beer and you usually have a ton of grain if you raid even occasionally.

workshops are a total waste of time. Super stupid. I just smith swords worth 2500-3500 each using cheap material from bandits that I smelt down and cash out 20-40k at each settlement I go to.

how do i access my workshops money? it says 20% over blah but where IS the cash? how do i take it out or put something in?

Im honestly disappointed with workshop profits in this game.
I will admit ive never gone for a dedicated trader run. Nor have i paid all that much attention to trading in detail. But thats somewhat my point.
Despite being a sandbox game, incentives push the player into a playthrough of war and fighting.

I dont think ive ever, in warband, its mods, or Bannerlord, bought a workshop at any point other than the late middle to early late game stages of my playthroughs,
After i was already rich. And used their seemingly meagre returns, to supplement my fief income, for long sieges or campaigns where i couldnt dedicate myself to looting.

A workshop that can return 240 or 300 a day with concerted effort on the player's part? Thats a pittance. I can make thrice that or more after 2 weeks ingame, by going smithing. And after a month ingame, im making at least 10x that much in a day on average.

Ive recently started reading Conn Iggulden's books again. The Rome and Athens series. Its got me wanting to play Total War and Bannerlord again. The former from the battles, but the latter from the skirmishes and scenes featuring characters like Crassus, Xanthippus, Pericles, and Beatta.
Characters who worked in or owned profitable shops and enterprises that provided funding for their lives and goals. Hearing Pericles mention his pottery workshop and the money it brought to his family's estate to help pay for the expenses of the theater he invested in. Or Crassus lending huge sums to Julius Ceasar, who also had his businesses.

It feels like the workshops should provide a lot more value. Especially considering that because they dont, myself and many other players basically write them off. Why spend tens of thousands on a workshop that nets you pennies a day by comparison?

Naaah I don't want to micromanage it. Take my money, do me profits, while I am conquering.
I did smithing (I found good companion lieutenant and do only 1500+ denars orders), caravan escort and ambushes (it's a quest, my rogue scout Daliset the black is a magician, she has max 4% of failure) with my companions. Bought caravan with good trader companion. So far 100 k.
Right now thinking about building elite army for mercenary job. I was surprised when king offered me 90 gold per battlle and no control over my troops. I have party of 60 men... 90 gold? The audacity!

Another broken thing about the warehouses is you can use it as emergency storage space for gear.

I feel like workshops are broken now.
Made one in Poros. A wool weavery, and it's crashed into the 5000s in only a couple in game days.

No other city nearby has one, and I have it stocked with wool nearly to max storage with the box lit up to use it.
