I think this place is some sort of hub belonging to the Catholic Church, some of the books and literature suggest teachings & activism linked to the faith/religion. A place for missionaries, perhaps? Those 3D painted ceilings. Wow. I was worried you might come face to face with some kid bouncing on those huge trampolines 😆

I think This mansion was the home and working place of the Italian doctor mr. Ferrari. It was built in the 18th century and the remnants of the past which are left inside were incredible... a true time capsule. Thank you for showing it to us

Love the Battlestar Galactica poster! Funny how you pointed out my favorite character which was Daggett! There was so much gorgeous furniture! That huge bed with the side mirrors was incredible! Love when you find the 3D paintings! Too bad that technique isn’t taught or widely taught anymore!

Regarding the paintings and their styles, that second one (with the wonky faces and massive long noses) looks like an Eastern orthodox print - that particular one looks quite popular and seems to go by a few different names, depending where you look (one is "Our Lady of Smolensk", another is more general; Virgin and Child, Russian orthodox painting and it's fairly easy to find prints on ebay under this second name). The one in the prayer room is more of a Renaissance-style (think Raphael or Leonardo da Vinci). What an amazing place! It's such a shame it's been left to decay isn't it?

I loved that room with the blue painted ceilings, they looked absolutely amazing, I wish I could paint like that. The whole place was a brilliant find. Such a shame it's been left. Had to have been a very rich person who owned it.

Did anyone else notice that there’s no electricity or lights in this house? That cylinder you couldn’t work out was a hot water bottle to warm the bed

well the reason is cultural appropriation and manipulation. Christians knew they would never be able to convince Europeans to worship someone with dark skin, so they just turned Jesus into a European. its as simple as that
