The sad thing is, hard courts nowadays are faster than Wimbledon, and that's why he won this one

just so sad that federer lost to novak at 3 wimbledon finals. he should have won atleast 1 or 2 of them..... imagine if federer was the same age as nadal and novak. He would have surely beaten them alot more

Honestly think djokovic , Federer rivalry is slept on. It is just a tactical battle the whole time. Federer sets the pace with his aggressiveness so it’s more exciting then then typical nadal vs djokovic. Djokovic has to make some crazy shots to win and so does Federer.

You can tell in this match that federer wasnt going for shots that would exhurt a lot of force on his knees if he didnt know he could get to them. Or to save energy. He still won though.

A great victory form a True Master, this would have made the Wimbledon loss sting less, i always thought Roger was Great on grass, but he was Greater on hardcourt. Congrats to Roger, the Swiss Master !

Roger could have done with one of those down the t aces or monster kickers in the ad court that Novak couldn't put a racket on a few months earlier at Wimbledon.

I was there at the o2 arena every year from the beginning to the end . I cried when it was moved to Italy .

I sat with Marion Vjida at the practice court . I chatted with Andy Murray , Thomaz Birdych , had a running joke with Djokovic . When he told me “ I bet you’re a Nadal supporter 😂 !
Roger was the only player that didn’t use the regular practice court .
I cherish those moments forever ❤ .

he was on fire in 2019, only difference in win and loss in that final was millimeters, if that ace went in millimeters in he would have had that 2019 Wimbledon

The difference between the big three is that Roger in 20 years of watching him I didn't regret every day of being fan while Novak and Nadal are sometimes arrogant and rude they make you feel better than others but in reality they are bad people Roger like Messi is a calm person who has some emotions in his career but things that are not mentioned are basically normal

Roger doesn’t get enough credit for his forehand variation towards the end of his career. He tinkered with the Rafa twirl, and it really worked wonders in this match v Novak. On many occasions, Novak was surprised by the different height and spin, especially on critical points.

Fed was flying at 37, unlucky to get that injury that put an end to his career, and not what many say that 40-15 match ended him.

What a shame he couldn't have played one of those points like this, on 40-15, a win here, is a little solace, but can never be compensated, for a stab in the heart, serving for the match, in a finals on your home turf, and if Alcaraz wasn't in peak form, it would have been even worse for him, Novak would be at 9 WB now!

Ответить
@pauljohnson6019

This is proof, Federer is a far better hard court player than Nadal, when he's in the zone, Nadal couldn't have done this on hard court, at 37 or 38, he may be a good hard court player, but he's very average, when compared with the elite of the elite like Fed and Djoko.
