Thanks for your guide. I have learned many things from your channel. I have a question about point 4.Bend your wrist. I see Caeleb Dressel, he bends his wrist a bit too much. Am I observing correctly?
ОтветитьVery good tips. Thank you. I'll keep on training. Greetings from Mexico City.
ОтветитьWhat if water enter in our nose or brain is there any injury due to swimming water ?
ОтветитьSwimmer's shoulder....first time I hear that, first time I have very sore shoulders since this week....since having started freestyle.
Will need to look that up and also what to do when having it or what the most problematic mistake is to cause it or some warm up prior entering the pool?
I had a frozen shoulder last year and apparently wear and tears in shoulder ligaments....prior swimming.
Hm.
Hope I don't have to stop trying to learn freestyle or backstrokes.
Breast swimming never caused shoulder pain.
Welcome to 50+. 😅
Great content. Thank you.
Ответитьyou can enter with thumb and then slightly supinate to get straight. You have to minimize drag on entry and maximize drag on hand during the pull
ОтветитьSadly you
Block
The view on The work out 😅
Should we be entering with the pinky finger
ОтветитьHi Fares, great job. Working all day at the computer moving the mouse made me develop a flaw in my right hand. When I extend it underwater after the enter it bends on the right (my wrist remains straight though, happily). It makes me more unstable and it worsen my catch. How can I fix it?
ОтветитьIs symmetry overstated in freestyle, especially in asymmetric one side breath stroke. Look Popovici's symmetry, which is practically non-existent
ОтветитьClarify where freestyle hand is to enter water, please.
ОтветитьWhen we enter each hand into the water does scapula has to emerge into the water or not. Do we emerge/elevate each scapula like in backstroke or keep scapulas on the same transverse level?
ОтветитьI am thirteen years old and I really love your videos
ОтветитьThanks for the video. I have been swimming for years now and these are still things I need to refocus on from time to time. Thanks for the info and reminders!
ОтветитьAnd here I thought it was because I’m 300lbs and have never had a formal lesson.
ОтветитьHmm, isn't the first part of the freestyle arm pull called the catch? That is bending at the wrist because if you pull straight down without bending your wrist that causes you to rise up in the water. After the catch comes the early vertical forearm.
ОтветитьHey, thanks for this video. This is real gem.
ОтветитьMy right side feels well coordinated, smooth and not forced, be it catch or breathing. My left side is struggling, especially breathing and right arm catch (it drops half of the time). Everyday I try to duplicate my right side to my left. I use paddles and snorkel to work on form and coordination everyday, too.
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing. I am beginning learners. In 20 hours i learn basic one. I wBt to learn deep diving 🦪🤿🥰
ОтветитьOne tip for you, you don't need to so quick talking, the best way for calm and relax explain.
Thank you for nice videos
Fares do you swim with your apple watch?
ОтветитьI have watched a ton of ur videos and im telling ya ive only been swimming for 3 weeks and ive improved alot
ОтветитьI’m slow in the pool because I’m fat and only do the side stroke.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьDeep attention to details! Awesome tips 💥
ОтветитьThanks. I’ve been doing several of these mistakes for years (1.5 miles 4 days a week). That and some unintelligent free weights have jeopardized my 65 year old shoulders. These look like some good exercises to improve my stroke for shoulder health. Several swims later, I notice a clear difference. My bad shoulder benefits. Great advice.
ОтветитьHonestly love the app. Super intuitive and good features. Thanks bro
ОтветитьFares, I have to ask what is your target audience; competitive, beginner or for health swimmers because the focus generally seems to be on speed.
ОтветитьI’m 54y try to learn how to swim and my major problem is breathing, can I get some advice for the timing and stuff I surely don’t know about. The trainer’s advice was I’m too old so I should use some items/or quit trying. Thank you
ОтветитьWhat is the ideal breathing pattern in freestyle? I breathe every 3 strokes, to make it symmetrical. But I see many people do it differently
ОтветитьHi coach, I do not know if it matters, but I am right handed and the problem I am having is my left arm elbow kind of leads the way into the water and then my finger tips enter afterwards...what do you think is causing this instead of my fingers entering and then my elbow?
ОтветитьWhy don't you reply to some of the questions in these comments
ОтветитьI'm no expert but my coaches tell me that bow and arrow is no longer taught at elite level as it tends to promote the shallow entry (explained earlier in the video as a big no-no). Instead, they teach to pause with the arm straight at 12 o'clock position (vertical), 6 kicks, then use a full body twist to power the next stroke. Repeat with other hand etc.
ОтветитьI swim like bricks don't😀!
ОтветитьBeing 70 with tight hips how do I kick to keep from making my lower back tight.
Ответитьhelpful!
ОтветитьHmm I thought you were supposed to cross over during the pull to help with body rotation for the the recovery
ОтветитьHey! I tried these techniques and I instantly went faster!! Like 7 seconds faster!! ..I was crossing over too much and doing the Trex hands before. The hot lifeguards at the pool we're so impressed with my speed today. Thank you sooo much!!!! You guys rule!!. 🙌🙌🙌
ОтветитьNice video, thanks !
Ответитьwhere is my golden nugget
ОтветитьWhat's IM?
ОтветитьI've seen some of these drills before, but didn't know the reasoning behind them. It's really helpful to know the motivation, and to know when you need to apply them. Thanks so much for this explanation.
ОтветитьThanks lots m swimming better wis your class ❤
ОтветитьThis is an amazing video 🎉❤ amazing 😊 thanks
Ответитьyour videos mostly help alot
