I fish all over south Florida and use nothing but 15-20 lb line and I adjust my leader accordingly to the fish I am going after.

I use 20 across the board unless I am targeting shark then I bump up to 70

Va got some nice sheep’s head 24 inches and one 25 inch sheep’s head I use 25-30 lb test I fish reefs lots of stuff to snap your line sheep’s head fight hard so they will take you into structure therefore 25 - 30 lb liter is best for me

Lighter line i truly believe will get you more bites from bigger fish. I think they can feel and see heavy line easier. That being said. You risk breaking off easier. But iv caught over slot reds on 8lb test. Great fight

i usally use 2 rods one with 30lbs braid to 20lb fluro and the second with 20 to 20lbs

30lb power pro, 30lb flouro leader, its a bit overkill until you hook into some 10lb fish and they yank you into the barnacle covered pilings.
