You and these thumbnails Sean 😂 Cute ice
ОтветитьIt just dawned on me.
Sean's stuck in the 90s! That's why he's so cool, funny, cringey, and a contrarian!
I FIGURED IT OUT!
Licks so chill they're scorching hot.
ОтветитьCOOL! I'm still waiting for the "gear equipment for the hobbyist video"..... HINT........HINT
Ответитьsounds like one day like this
ОтветитьCool. Thanks for sharing.
Ответитьcould you tab out that Amaj7 voicing please? whatever i do it just doesn't sound right
ОтветитьGreat lick! looking forward to the 'mildly tepid licks' series ;)
ОтветитьThese thumbnails have me liking the video before watching them. Lovely licks btw
ОтветитьHey.. It's not a riff! I am almost going to complain that you are not being consequent! (but only almost... 😁)
Nice Jazzy Flavour too!
At first I thought you were playing somewhere over the rainbow xD
ОтветитьNice Polo shirt guy!!!!!!!
ОтветитьIt to hot in Florida to be wearing a long sleeve polo,,,let's get it together! !!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьMan i just love your videos. And that guitar is awesome it sounds like a nylon string. Plus, I like the bearded look and all
ОтветитьHey Sean, Matthew here again. I couldn't find a way to message you exclusively so I found your most recent vid. I have a question for you. Still a little confused on buying the right mic preamp for guitar and vocals. Does the UA 610 solo record guitar as well as mic? Obviously at different times but....?
What about the focusrite ISA one? Just give me a few tips on your opinion of mic pre amp set up for vocals and guitar. Budget of $500-$1000.
Thanks buddy. Love the videos
Like the diversity ! Keep the chillness going!
ОтветитьAwesome. Thanks for quick response. Do u use somthing besides a condenser mic for recording guitar/amp set up u just mentioned. If so, what mic ?
ОтветитьSean , I often find my mind thinking about music and things to try on
the guitar and i thought I'd share this little one with you, it can make
a great exercise for learning the way around a scale using position
numbers instead of note names. maybe you've seen this before, maybe
not...
They say music is language right, so i thought what if i could convert
words into music, how would it sound? So you allocate each letter of the
alphabet a number between 1 and 8
like so, and then write out sentences or words and see how they sound
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
a b c d e f g h
i j k l m n o p
q r s t u v w x
y z
ian stitch
1 1 6 3 4 1 4 3 8
sean daniel
3 5 1 6 4 1 6 1 5 4
I am trying to work through different ways of allocating the numbers, in
this example the middle line is reversed I - P
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
a b c d e f g h
p o n m l k j i
q r s t u v w x
y z
Ian Stitch
8 1 3 3 4 8 4 3 8
Sean Daniel
3 5 1 3 4 1 3 8 5 5
You could use them for melody or maybe just chord patterns, even though
it's an unconventional way to write music you can come across some cool
sequences. You could translate song lyrics into numbers or maybe just
the song title, for instance
franklins tower
6 2 1 6 3 4 1 6 3 4 7 7 5 2
or
6 2 1 3 6 5 8 3 3 4 2 7 5 2
I'm going to start taking well known licks apart and see if they
actually spell anything out that might not have been intended,
they might sound odd to start but once you play with them, break them up
and try different tempos and rythyms who knows where it might lead :)
phone numbers and birthdays are another option for patterns across a
scale
Have fun!!
I like how that G# note stands out in both the chords AMaj7 and DMaj7. In relation to A, G# is obviously the Major 7. In relation to D, G# becomes the #4.
ОтветитьCan’t seem to exit the pentatonic “box” for my licks /:
