Watching Westerns as a young lad, i was brainwashed into believing that the indigenous Indians were the villains of the piece. Older and wiser now, so I simply cannot watch hogwash like this again. Murphy was real life war hero, but he should have stayed clear of nonsense like this.

A remarkable western. Ahead of it's time!

I've got to admit, at less than 5'6'', Audie Murphy looked like he was continually miscast as a tough guy. I remember stating as much one time, and then it hit me. "What the hell am I thinking? He WAS a genuine badass!", And he had the record to prove it.

Big "up" to the american people for how they portray themselves of how great they think they are and their hereos they are so proud of in the comments.......

Then realise what cowards they are as they pay for the active extinction (again) of a defenceless nation of people, no,not the native american indians they stole their lands from, but the teillions of dollers they pump into the masacre of the people of Palestine......

Currently, november 2023, the Palestinian people are denied water, food, electricity, any medical care, and the people are being bombed by american manufacured phosphor bombs that strip the skin off childrens bodies (every persons bodies) by burning which cant be quenched by water......

The agony these people suffer whilst living in rubble through winter all funded by the people of america....

Gaza is now the largest concentration camp in the world.... far larger then what germany had collectively in the 40's.....

All this inhumanity has been sponsored by the american people over the last 80+ years, since actually to my knowledge the 30's (re the cowardly balfore agreement,) where my people the british agreed with the zionists to steal Palestinian land if the zionists would bring americans into the first world war and made americans loose their lives needlessly for a war the zionists created by assassinations, because my people the cowardly british were loosing the war to the germans......

The league of nations turned into the united nations, and since the early 30's... any offer of help for the Palestinians has been blocked by the americans....... even today when hospitals schools with children in them and residential areas are being bombed with phospher bombs, and countries are begging for a sease fire and offering to send food water and medical care to the Beseaged genocided Palestinians....... america continues to veto and block any help for those poor people who are denied any food water or electricity as Gaza has a complete block on any humanitarian aid for them..... BY THE aMERICAN PEOPLE.... AND ALL THE BOMBS AND BULLETS USED ARE MADE AND PAID FOR BY THE aMERICAN PEOPLE TO GENOCIDE A DEFENCELESS NATION OF PEOPLE....

cute movie, surprising. BUT total crap concerning history. Victorio was killed in 1880 in Mexico in the Battle of Tres Castillos. Not exactly known if he was shot in battle or got wounded and died afterwards but he died due to an attack of the military unit of Joaquin Terrazas. And blo**dy hell, it was the Chihe'nde or Mimbrenos, a a branch of the Chiricahua, not the Mescalero...
