ОтветитьI thank you for this video !!
ОтветитьGreat video! Could you make a video on how you learned how to do your businesses / other income streams while working your tech job? Courses / books you read, etc. Your journey is super inspiring
ОтветитьThis was a super helpful video. I always see good parts of this field but I’ve haven’t seen someone be real about the downsides of this career field.
Ответить“Studying information in the hopes this information is asked”

ОтветитьHow long did it take you to get the role of Security Engineer? Also, what certs do you have?
Ответитьthese are some good takes, I find this career to be both extremely draining and rewarding.
ОтветитьWhat certs would you need to be competitive?
ОтветитьI'm a security engineer - over 3 years in it. 10+ years in IT overall. Everyone and their mom wants to be a security engineer nowadays. But not many can make it. There's a reason why there's a need for this role in so many companies. It can be exhausting. Work 9-5, be on-call 24/7 and holidays, and study for hours after working every day just to keep up with the knowledge. I have a passion for it, thankfully I'm not in it just for the money, I'm in it because I love what I do. For most people here's your path: service desk>systems>noc>network>security. You're not gonna go out there and get your security+ and expect to get taken seriously with no experience. You need real world experience, not just certifications. You need to know systems architecture, you need to know endpoints, network architecture, and security in itself has its own architecture.
ОтветитьNO LIE TOLD!

ОтветитьKey word. Passion
ОтветитьWhich tech engineering role get paid the most
ОтветитьNew Sub here... Not necessarily knowing how to secure a firewall or at least actually performing the task as a Security Engineer isn't required. A principal of separation of duties comes to mind. JMHO
ОтветитьI'm a young college student looking to get into security and your channel has been incredibly useful and informative. Thanks so much
