Not sure how I feel about Gerald ACTUALLY being there but if they have a good reasoning and do his character right I can tolerate it

I'm more inclined to believe that Shadow breaks Gerald out of prison shortly after he himself escapes.
When Sonic and Robotnik go investigate that abandoned building from the first trailer, Robotnik will be reunited with Gerald, and he'll convince Robotnik that he and Shadow can conquer Earth, and that is when Robotnik will double-cross Sonic. This lines up because Robotnik has his torn-up old outfit that entire time.

If the lava scene is on Mobius, maybe it could be Lava Reef, or Marble Zone?

That Google Maps line is almost certainly going to be reacting to something else in context. Might still be tasteless, but won't be about the moon getting cut in half.

Glad you mentioned how Run It by Jelly Roll just isn’t what you’d expect for the main theme of this movie. I like the song, but it doesn’t scream to me “Shadow Focused Story.” I honestly expected a Live & Learn inspired rock song.

I think maybe there still is a way to work in Cream and Cheese into the Sonic movies. Perhaps in a future project, when they eventually do introduce Cream The Rabbit, she goes to that Chao Garden arcade in Japan and maybe some magical stuff happens where the Chao plushies come to life and that's how we just get Cream and Cheese. Or Tails just makes a robot version of Chesse. I don't know!?

I just hope Shadow doesn't die a villain in this movie and we get the whole Sonic and Shadow teaming up to go Super. Otherwise, people would be confused as to why Shadow is portrayed as a good guy, albeit an anti-hero

I thought of something, The First Trailer had a more Heroic tale with Awesome Heroic music, This one has more of a dark tone with Sinister music. Now Two trailers, Two sides, One Big Story. What Sonic Game had Two Sides with Different Narratives and are part of the same story? SONIC ADVENTURE 2!!!!! Think About It.

I completely agree with everything you said in this video and I predicted that there would be lava in Sonic Movie 3 because there was ice in Sonic Movie 2 and I'm glad that the Moon will be at least partially destroyed by the Eclipse Cannon in Sonic Movie 3. I'm also happy that Shadow has a gun in Sonic Movie 3 (even though Shadow obviously doesn't need any gun). However, I'm still disappointed that Amy wasn't in this trailer, but whatever. My fingers are crossed that Amy will at least appear in the post-credit scene of Sonic Movie 3.

I can sense Snapcube jokes for the destruction on the moon, as everyone promised.

While Sonic & Shadow could possibly lead into a Super Sonic vs Super Shadow shiwdown, but what about the others? I mean Tails, Knuckles, Dr. Robotnik, and now Gerald Robotnik. Would a fight happen between those four? I doubt they would idle on the sidelines this time. Also Knuckles & Tails could not fully participate in the final fight in the last film, but they can't do the same thing again for this one.

I feel like you're a bit to harsh with your analysis on the second trailer it's like the expectations are skyhigh which means that every scene in the trailer needs to be near perfect in order to be fully satisfied or maybe it's just me

I’m quite disappointed that they didn’t actually follow through with this movie having a more serious tone aside from the obvious stuff with Shadow. Even Gerald has been turned goofy, very far from his game counterpart

I don’t understand how disconnected Hollywood is from the real world that after decades of trash pop humour, they haven’t realised that it doesn’t hit. My guess is that it’s a cheap excuse to be able to technically call a movie a “comedy” and encourage parents to bring their kids to watch it because they think it will make them laugh

I didn’t expect Shadow having a Gun and comparing Tails to Pikachu which is Funny, this Trailer is Peak with reference to the Chao, Ark, and Shadow’s Past, I still not sure how this Movie will go as this Trailer showed Little but the More they Hide the More Curious I’m getting, someone’s dying for sure and if the Humans market the Chao, it’s possible that Chaos exists in this Universe and I’m hoping this Movie gets Dark.

My own personal prediction is that after Ivo Robotnik learns that Gerald wants to destroy the world instead of ruling he will also discover in a plot twist that Gerald is actually a robot he programmed before he died in prison.

You're watching a movie for the plot and the characters in it not for music idc what mario did mario doesn't have the impact of sonic in these movies plus mario having no character so he can get away with that

The Detective Pikachu joke is also likely a dig at the fact that this is the third Sonic movie and Pokémon has yet to start filming a live-action sequel. Also, while I’m sure they recorded it a while ago, I do wonder if the decision to include it in the trailer was fairly recent.

Guns in Sonic is fine, realistic guns in Sonic is a whole other thing. It's like messing around in Garry's Mod or modding Left 4 Dead with cartoony characters using weapons straight out of Call of Duty, it's just looks so damn goofy. Using weapons that fits with the aesthetics of Sonic like Forces and this movie is the only way to go.

The motorcycle is fine but it still confuses me why a speedster like Shadow even really needs one.

I’m fine with Amy or rouge not being there as long as we don’t get another chris thorndyke with shadows story. The only humans that we care about are eggman, robotnik senior and Maria. And Please do not spoil if you know anything!!!!!

As a non-Sonic fan I am beyond excited for this movie. I was skeptical about whether or not the Space Colony Ark would be in the movie but it’s great to have official confirmation. Also wasn’t expecting them to use the eclipse cannon to try and blow up the moon. This movie’s gonna go hard.

there is a tv spot where it shows the ark charging a lazer possibly towards the arc for like a split second but if we pause we can see two shining trails speeding towards the arc, one golden and the other a mix of gold and white

Given the first trailer shows Ivo looking over Egg Drones in what is apparently Gerald's lab, it wouldn't surprise me if the one we see attack Chao Garden is sent by him. It'll be used to forge a bond between Ivo and Gerald, the idea it's the design all Robotnik geniuses eventually hit upon (assuming Gerald didn’t just put Ivo in the firing line of Team Sonic's suspicions, intending to use everyone he can). Similarly willing to bet Ivo's "If I can't rule the world, I can save it!" is actually from later in the movie when he's realised Gerald just wants to destroy everything (consider the Sonic 2 trailer edited things to suggest Sonic didn’t meet Tails until the final battle). Similarly, betting visiting the Chao Garden is a reward for Tails after they've had their first fight with Shadow in Tokyo and potentially recaptured him (mayhaps Gerald needed a way to move him from one GUN facility to the one he himself is currently imprisoned in?)

Honestly, the weirdest thing that could save the movie franchise from too many humans-itis is the one introduced in a random clip where Tom was testing out a disguise device that shifted through Movie Sonic visual attributes. Some humans could BECOME characters by a glitch.

With the changes to Sonic as a character in the movies, he has a lot of the more empathetic traits that make Amy work as a core cast member
Notably, look at how he reacts when they first find Shadow in SA2 vs Sonic 3

I like the Wachowski family. Tom is sonics adopted dad and he’s an important role model for him, plus tom might be hurt in the film which might make sonic more vengeful.

Personally, I could see the human characters in this film joining GUN as way to make them relevant in the cosmos (to what degree remains to be seen). Also, I see the song "Run It" as a good epilogue song to express how Team Sonic how they'll soar forward from here on out, and possibly for Shadow finding his way back to his promise to Maria. Regardless, I'm hoping for some form of "All Hail Shadow" in the movie.

Shadow probably breaks Gerald out of prison and Robotnik teams up with Gerald later on in the movie. Gerald will be the main villian in film not Shadow or Robotnik.
