Love Planet Comicon in KC. It’s a great con. C2E2 in Chicago is the biggest in the Midwest and just as fun. But for the best convention experience, you gotta go to Dragoncon in Atlanta with your pal Adam the Woo because the whole city becomes a convention the likes of a Nerd Mardi Gras. And there’s an incredible Disney photoshoot to boot.

Oh wow, Tuomas Holopainen is the main driving force and songwriter behind the symphonic metal band Nightwish. He's a huge Disney fan, their album called "Wishmaster" actually being named for Walt Disney, and they have a song called "Fantasmic" on it which references movies like Peter Pan, Mulan, Lion King, Sleeping Beauty, Fantasia, etc. I remember hearing he did an album about Scrooge but I never really looked into it.
I highly recommend checking them out, or at the very least checking out Fantasmic. It will probably really tickle your soul as both a musician and a Disney fan!

Hey I'm with the 405th, the halo group you saw. I wasn't there this weekend but the ring you saw was printed by our member SSGLordBert, and was finished along with the walls of the booth by the rest of our talented members in the area

I lived in the KC area for a few years and used to attend the anime con in the area. Now I'm further south but lemme tell you, I'd absolutely go my out of my way to get up there next year to see you if you got a booth!!! It was fun to try to see if I recognized anyone in the background and am so happy you had such a great time! Kansas City deserves so much more love than it gets!

As long as you’re in KC, you might as well come back in the fall and visit the Renaissance Fair in Bonner Springs, KS.! It’s not far from KC, and it’s the biggest Ren festival in the state! 😉

If you're interested in trying some Halo cosplay, the booth you saw was from the 405th. They are super helpful with anything you could need help with on your cosplay adventure. There's a bunch of tutorials on the website, too!

You were talking about not being able to wear a helmet. You could always do a marine cosplay. Or you could put a fan in and see if that helps.

You should totally get a table next year! Great excuse for plenty of fans to hang out! It would be amazing to get to meet you.

Here looking for myself in this vid. lol As one who has built my own R2D2 in 2017, took almost 3 years to complete. I can only imagine how much it would cost to build today. I didn't recognize any builders when I went.
