REKAP : Installing an antenna to get CHSN with David Kaplan & Ryan McGuffey

We live on the corner of Irving Park road and Central in Chicago and as all we can get is the audio no picture. And yes we have a digital antenna.

I haven't tried it because the teams suck, but this thing is on FUBO, and Xfinity carries that. Get the free trial, then pay a few bucks monthly until adults figure this out and see?? Teams will keep sucking though, this is Chicago.

This freakin sucks! Is this what it comes down to just to watch your home team play? Go to Hell Comcast and the greedy owners after all the years of paying for cable, and this is the thanks we get. I should be able to watch the Bulls,Hawks, and Sox without all the unnecessary foolery. 😢

I've had the best reception after CHSN by just simply boycotting Chicago sports in general. Enough is enough already. I've also heard that if you take the coaxial connection and shove it way up Reinsdorf's rear end, the reception improves.

I'll just use one of those streams out east.

If this was made at the United Center studios, all of those stations originate from three broadcast tower complexes, each of which are less than 3 miles away and in clear sight. How well viewers farther away will get the signal is another matter.

The antenna only may work depending on how old your big screen is. Older tvs have mpeg 2 decoders that will only pickup audio on 62.2. They are broadcasting on mpeg 4 codec so you may have to get a new mpeg 4 decoder box (~$40) or a new tv 📺 Hope this helps...

I don't live in Chicago but I do have an antenna on a secondary TV in case of cable outages, programming disputes and getting all the subchannels my cable doesn't carry. It's not a bad idea. And the cost of an antenna will be cheaper than whatever CHSN will charge per month for its app.

Kap, it looks like you did it in Chicago's offices. Have you tried this at home in Riverwoods? Does the antenna work in the far north burbs?

Thoughs antennas are a literal crap shoot. Half the time they work and half the time they dont. Bestbuy employee told me that. Depends all on you're location.
