A good lead for the investigators would be that the kidnappers would likely need knowledgeable help in the treatment of Eastman, even if from semi-proffessional medical workers whom these guys can access, or some "combat medic" in the muslim insurgent network they might know.. since a dead hostage is useless to them it's in their 'best' interest to sustain his life, he may have needed blood transfusion or at least some i.v. fluid transfusion and antibiotics for those gsw injuries. These requirements may have necessitated a detour in their planned route and that may also be why it's taking so long for some ransom demand to come out. Eastman could well be barely clinging to life in his medical condition let's pray that he lives through all of these by the grace of the Almighty God in Jesus Christ's Holy name.

It’s comforting but also concerning that they are front loading their Intelligence making it sound like they have leads. My first instinct is they care more about looking like they are making progress then making progress… usually you keep what you know close to your chest before rescue operation to try to keep some surprise.

Shot 2 times in same leg i dont hold out hope. Cannot see he will get that medical treatment he needs. I think its a false hope from a medical point of view. The pain alone and loss of blood would of been enough to take his life. It all sounds good on paper through a centralised media but simply cannot see that they would of put him in medical care in time or even bothered.
