Commentators were saying EF was pulling to contest the team classification
ОтветитьI think the move by WvA is just nostalgia. Last year, he spent many kilometres pulling with the favourite group in his wheel, and he loved it. This year, he hasn't been able to work for Roglic, but now that Vingegaard is in the white jersey, he is taking every opportunity he gets to make up for that.
ОтветитьDon’t remind me of 2020 Sunweb Marc Hirschi 😭😭
ОтветитьMas back to quickstep to work for Remco. Can't TT so not as complicated managing Almeida's ambitions
ОтветитьYou made lemonade of a video out of a lemon of a stage today.
ОтветитьLiked because tactics are always confusing.... Until I watch LR, then tactics are spoon fed nicely for me.
ОтветитьIt wouldn't be a grand tour without Bike Exchange delivering braindead tactics on at least one stage.
ОтветитьI just don't see anyone actually beating Pogacar. The KOM and Sprint battles are more exciting at this point. It isn't that 5 minutes is some insurmountable lead. It just seems like every actual threat he is able to react to without extending himself. That said, wet mountain roads are a roll of the dice for everyone.
ОтветитьOnly the third ever stage won by an Austrian after Max Bulla (1931!!!) and Georg Totschnig in 2004
ОтветитьMy first TDF. I am hooked!
Ответить2021 Bora = 2020 Sunweb
ОтветитьNo opinion on Colbrelli getting second on a mountain stage?
ОтветитьBreak is going win again. There's a large section before the first climb and the only teams who will want to pace hard are JV and Ineos. But JV will want to get WVA in the break and Ineos doesn't have the firepower on the flat to control the race alone without Luke Rowe.
ОтветитьPogacar has this in the bag....yellow jersey is a given but polka dot jersey has been interesting to watch, pulling for Quintana
ОтветитьStage 17 will see carnage with some GC riders falling behind the yellow. I see the yellow making a move to drive home more time distance before the Alps.
ОтветитьGreat analysis (as always),
and the use of photos is a great idea.
I'm amazed nobody else intersperses photos.
They are addicted to the moving image.
Can we have a montage of everyone undressing in neutralization wit Joe Cocker singing to it?
ОтветитьWasn't EF trying to up the pace for the team competition? Seems Cofidis' Martin told Geshke to try to break from the group and all it did was piss off WVA. At the end for the GC guys Pogacar tells Carapaz "you're going to be my bitch tomorrow for that stupid move, hahaha!"
ОтветитьIt wasnt boring for us austrian fans 🇦🇹
ОтветитьIt is probaly good for Bora that Sagan had to quit the Tour 🤷♂️
ОтветитьEF were pulling because of the team classification. Bahrain had two guys in the front
ОтветитьSeems like barring some major disaster the yellow jersey in this TDF was decided a long time ago.
ОтветитьI would say: EF was chasing for the team classification
ОтветитьJens Voigt said EF was chasing for Team Classification. I did not check but might be true.
ОтветитьKonrad:
3rd GC Tour de Suisse ('19)
7th GC Giro d'Italia ('18)
8th GC Giro d'Italia ('20)
7th
GC Paris - Nice ('18)
7th GC Vuelta al Pais Vasco ('17)
9th
GC Itzulia Basque Country ('19)
16th
GC Giro d'Italia ('17)
Not bad for a mountain lieutenant that is.
Why does skuijns have such a sick jersey and all the other trek riders don’t ?
ОтветитьAs always: fantastic analysis - best channel for bikesport! Question: which videotool are you using for this "textbox-following"-effects?
ОтветитьV gd highlights again, way to go, helps me understand
ОтветитьEF was chasing to defend their pink jersey.
Ответитьas much as i hate sagan leaving early, it is very possible bora riders would not get the 2 wins as they would protect peter.
what's with the peter leaving to total energies anyway ... good god. sounds like retirement waiting room to me.
I rather watch this than eurosport
ОтветитьMy guess as to why EF were pacing is they are currently second in the team classification and Bahrain Victorious had 2 riders in the breakaway and thereby they would extend their gap to EF hence EF had no riders in the breakaway.
ОтветитьEF were pacing because of their 2nd place on team ranking
ОтветитьTomorrow
Early break 5 minutes up the road from GC group, Ineos on second to last climb of the day , Thomas , KWIATKOWSKI , PORTE, set horrendous pace putting VINGEGAARD in trouble , only for Jumbo Visma to pull back their 77 kg Climber WVA who paces Jonas on the mountain top finish to save his 3rd place by one second ......
Thank you ...it's too bad , we never find out the answers ? Try to think , strategy ? Odd , eh
ОтветитьEF were trying to protect their best Team position according to Laurent Jalabert who commentates for French TV
ОтветитьThe French won't need any encouragement to work on today's stage. Bastille day!
ОтветитьBastille Day: a break full of "gallant" French riders gets caught late in the stage. (Not a hot take) :-D
ОтветитьEF pushes for team classification. Bahrain was 1st and had 2 riders in the breakaway. They pushed to not allow the breakaway take much advantage
ОтветитьVan aert pushed all the way to the line because of the 2 cofidis guys started to pull hard in the last small uphill 10k before finish. He followed and pulled real hard because his teamates told him that some riders on GC were distanced (on BE tv they thought that all ineos was far behing and so carapaz would be loosing time). So this is why he went that hard, but in the end, every rider in the top 10 was in his group.
Ответитьthx LR
ОтветитьMaybe EF was going for the team GC, since there were 2 Bahrein riders in the breakaway.
Why did they stop pulling tho?
Thanks!
Ответитьjust for YT
Ответитьi was happy when i saw Sonny Cobrelli managing to catch that right turn before the bridge.
it takes balls to give it a go downhill, but:
It tales Organs to donate if you don"t have any of those balls left.
Climby Sprinty Boys are back!
ОтветитьJust subscribed, but have been watching your videos since I stared following the Tour, great content man!!!
