In the final quarter Northwestern's offensive line manhandled Nebraska. Maybe the Cornhuskers just lost to a better team.

If you're a team that repeatedly shoots yourself in the foot at the end of a game then calling an onside kick going into the fourth quarter is very on-brand.

Always glad to see the huskers lose. I'll never tire of that.

Nebraska is soft up front, the linebackers and secondary are too slow, and they turned the ball over too much. That is all you need to know. Two INT's, a fumble, plus the on sides kick. I count the on sides kick as a 1/2 turnover. I know most people don't, but when you flip the field it has consequences.

No offense to anyone's traditions and absolute love for the man. All that aside. The next head coach hire shouldn't have anything to do with the school or Tom Osborne. No graduates of NU. Need to move to whatever the next chapter is of NU Football. To much of the past is shaping the team now. People that are dinosaurs to analytics. Someone that will recruit on a somewhat national level. It's harder because of the geography but, it shouldn't be that hard to pull kids from Maine, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Washington, North and South Dakota. Kids from Arizona and New Mexico would chomp at the bits to get out. Trying to hard to keep the 3 and 4 stars in state. Need to branch out. NU doesn't have an identity right now. It sucks because the state has had to spend so much on the hires past. I really hope the next hire isn't a graduate of the team. Heard Lane Kiffin as a name floated out. That would be an amazing hire for the team. Bring the young upbeat vibe and flow the team needs. Idk why but I feel like when your watching Scott Frost on the sidelines during the game, it feels like he is just watching the game. Not active in it. Can't say it's the players of coaches past. None left. To many Big Red blinders on to see it all though.

I hope Frost starts to worry about the Georgia Southern game. Don't sleep on them. They can come in and scare you. The offensive line will be an issue even more so than this game.

Anyone remember when he tried it in I believe 2019 Against Ohio St? Up by 7, early in the game, and he goes for an onside kick and of course it's and unmitigated disaster. Makes this decision 10x worse.

Scott frost has truly turned into one of the worst coaches of my lifetime. To be 15-30 at a place like Nebraska and to be 5-21 in one score games is astonishing. I’m not surprised they lost, but the fact they gave up 500 yards to northwestern tells me a rough seasons ahead.

Mike Riley was awful, painfully so, but Frost has him beat by a country mile. So want Frost to succeed, but ain't gonna happen. Sign the check and show him the door. Give the team to any of the assistant and start focusing on next year.

Also, I say hire Pat Fitzgerald if he will say "yes".

As a Notre Dame fan I emphasize with Nebraska. They have fallen so far. It reminds of ND before Brian Kelly. Nebraska needs to rally the boosters and donors and back up the brinks truck for coach like Luke Fickell. I would even consider the Iowa St coach or even Mark Stoops. They need to stabilize this program. I would even consider doing the unthinkable and call up Urban Meyer. It’s a desperate situation.

My question is who is available that we replace him with? Honest question because I genuinely don’t know. Gotta do some googling.

That’s exactly what Casey Thompson is and it’s likely not going to change. He’s so frustrating because you see that he can perform well but there is just too much consistency from Casey performing just like he did against NW.
