This is what I need! I have to get my hips out of my stroke.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video. I improved my score by 7 after I tried your techniques!
ОтветитьI can't wait to try this, David. Thing is I have a left hand putter and am comfortable with all my clubs being left handed BUT my right hand and arm are stronger. I want to try putting right handed. Thanks again. Richard
ОтветитьOn the green in two. then 6 put >:(
ОтветитьDefinitely works
ОтветитьDid this today on a mat and wow, felt so natural after I figured it out for me. Thank you
ОтветитьTHANK YOU for this tutorial! I'm just picking up the game in my 30s, and am doing well on everything but the putter. It just feels total foreign and uncontrolled when I follow through. I'm right-handed, but when I tried your method of isolating the arms, I found my right arm always flinches (almost as if it wants to "turn over"; no idea why) as the arc passes through the ball. My hand fluttering causes the ball to squirrel off in any direction on my putts. I isolated the left arm, and it's perfectly smooth all the way through. All I have to do is focus my energy on my left arm, and I'm sinking putts without any arm vibration at all. Great breakdown!!!
ОтветитьSimple and easy to feel. Worked immediately for a leftie that swings righthanded and prefers to hinge at the left shoulder using your method. Thank you for such an effective and instantaneous lesson. Best I've ever taken! -Brad
ОтветитьI putt better with a 3 wood than an actual putter
ОтветитьI picked up golf late in life - 12 years ago. Most of my game has improved except putting. I'm going to practice this tomorrow, then try it twice this week in my rounds. It looks so simple. I hope it really is. Thank you for the video.
ОтветитьGreat tip!
ОтветитьI’m a horrible putter. But I haven’t focused on it yet. So horrible in sense I haven’t achieved the skill YET.
ОтветитьOkay this is scary, I have been practicing exactly like this for the last week in my bedroom. What scares me is that 1,I figured this out by myself and 2 how did you You Tube know what I was doing to recommend this video to me.
ОтветитьWhat tour player putted one handed? I’ve never seen one do it in a tournament.
ОтветитьThis is essentially the ARM putting. The shoulder putting works more reliably for me, short or long putt.
ОтветитьFood for thought!
ОтветитьHow does it work under pressure?
ОтветитьThis is the easiest putting drill improved my putting by 90%
ОтветитьGreat advice. Thank you.
ОтветитьDefinitely trying this tomorrow! Thanks for the lesson
ОтветитьI've always been a poor putter, this is where my strokes come from on the scorecard. However, when I saw this video, I gave it a try. I instantly saw more consistency and much better putting. It has improved my score several strokes per round (mid handicapper) and has made putting much more simple and has taken the nerves out of it. Thank you so much!!
ОтветитьI'm curious if anyone besides myself has trouble with the index finger on the dominant hand (for me the right hand). I cannot seem to get comfortable putting with the traditional grip, my index finger won't stay next to the middle finger. It's half way between touching the middle finger and pointing down the grip. Anyone else experience this??
ОтветитьThank you Dave! I’m going to try this I’m shooting consistent low 80’s but need to eliminate 3 putts. I will update in a month to give you some feedback.
Ответитьwell explained. Works well with me.
ОтветитьGreat tip. Thanks
ОтветитьOMG this works. It is pouring down rain so I can't go out. But I am making 8 footers in my hallway like I can't believe. Right over my cup coaster.
I don't agonizingly line them up, just aim and they go in for some reason.
Thanks!
ОтветитьGreat lesson. Thx
ОтветитьGreat grip and stroke technique.
I will try this.
If the shoulder is the fulcrum point and everything just swings from that 'fixed point', then this method must be the perfect pendulum stroke! Excellent video!
ОтветитьThis has been the best putting drill ..Thank you.
ОтветитьI assume the ball position is on center?
ОтветитьI tried it years ago and it worked
ОтветитьGreat tip Mike thank you.
ОтветитьReally like this thanks. My stronger arm is my front arm (play left handed but I am right handed) so I’m curious to know if the addition of my weaker hand - my back hand - uses the same principle?
ОтветитьI like it but how about hinging the right wrist Only while the elbow stays still against the side. I noticed the old pros like Bobby Jones simply hinged the wrist.
ОтветитьSo how long should the putter be dependent upon a persons size? Also how much flex in the knees and bend at the waist. You don’t seem to mention that and it’s obviously important in terms of set up
ОтветитьI use the fulcrum for my chipping and willl have to try for putting as well . Thanks
Ответитьnever seen a tour player putt with right hand only
ОтветитьWhen practicing in the house and on the course, I have noticed that when putting multiple balls i can get them to stop all lined up. I putted last year one handed and noticed that i was gauging speed great. Next problem was reading the green. Lol but i find it very conformable. Also you can carry your clubs in your other hand to speed up your round.
ОтветитьWow! Putting woes solved at long last!
The calculated & gentle folding of my lead elbow turned out to be my putting Holy Grail, missing link! Now I'm making almost all the short putts I was missing and much better leaves w/ longer ones!
Thank you for this most helpful video!
(Now if I could just find a swing fix as effective as this putting fix! Lol)
great tip. So I need to ask you a quiestion. I was a fair putter on fast greens once I got a lite putter. I now have moved and the local course has very slow greens. If I hit hard enough to get there my line suffers. Would it be a help if I got a heavier putter to get more speed on the ball without hitting it harder
ОтветитьDo any professionals putt like this.
ОтветитьSo if I feel more comfortable and in better control just using my left hand should I be putting with a left handed putter?
ОтветитьDoesn’t work for me because I’m a lefty who is right handed
ОтветитьI always find aiming with your mind is much more effective than trying to line things up and hit the stroke based on that line. Growing up playing hockey made this easy. Applying it to golf makes a lot of sense. Great tip
ОтветитьI just tried the one arm style, purposely not adding the second hand - my issue has always been that I'm quite a muscular guy, but with very narrow shoulders (bone structure-wise), so my triceps and lats are extremely tight together. This makes any sort of shoulder/upper torso rotation without moving anything else nearly impossible - the one arm technique has instantly become more consistent both in accuracy and in pace control than 15 years (very intermittent) of classic putting techniques. I have a thick handle center shaft face balanced mallet style putter for reference. Might just be the weird guy on the course who putts with one arm from now on - thanks for posting this video!
ОтветитьI just tried it indoors and when putting with right arm the inside left arm technique felt a little odd but the putt certainly stayed on line much better. Will try on the course in a few days. My CC green’ s were just aerated so not a good time to put it ti the test.
ОтветитьGreat Video! Thanks
ОтветитьBut what if it is your left arm
