This news is heartbreaking....we love Royal Caribbean and to think there are people out there that would do this video to damage the election and Royals reputation just infuriates us. I hope RCCL will put out a disclaimer ASAP.

I have seen more and more red hats on RC over the past couple years, as I cruise 3x plus a year. Will be moving to more luxury cruise line soon. You can also see it right here in the comments. I just don't want to see it on vacation or here.

I was on the Serenade of the seas in Sept and there was a group of pro-Trump supporters who took over the solarium every day with their personal political rallies. They took over the cruise facebook page - one of the admins was the leader of this political group, and they kicked me off for saying "I don't miss politics with tequila". {The other admin let me back on}. I had a hard time with them trying to force me to take "Trump swag" {Their words, not mine} because they wouldn't take no for an answer. They kept giving speeches on how wonderful they were and the other party was dirt. I finally had to move my seat to the outer pool area to get away from them. They happened every single day of our 5 {Turned 7 because of the 1st hurricane} day cruise.

My wife and I are never going to cruise on Royal Caribbean again.

I mailed in my vote and intentionally booked a cruise during election week to tune it all out. It worked out for the most part, but it only takes one ass hole to ruin a tranquil vacation... A guy got on the elevator and blurted out, "I hope we're all Republicans and not stupid enough to fall for the lies." We really didn't need to hear his views while cruising.

I was on Carnival Celebration Nov 3rd to the 10th, and for several months I was concerned about the election being shown. I knew neither side would be happy which could cause a problem. I was SO relieved when Carnival made the decision not to show it. That next morning and day, thankfully no one brought up the election.

The truth doesn’t bother me.

I'm going out on Harmony in 2 weeks, and while I can proudly say that I'm glad Trump is returning to the White House, Royal needs to get on this and let people know that they are non political. One of the first things I learned in business is to never mix politics with it. You automatically alienate half your customer base when you do so. This is a lesson that many corporations have forgotten, to their detriment.

I'm sure it would be very hard for the passengers to vote in the 2026 midterms and the 2028 election if they stay onboard throughout the Trump second presidency and I doubt if the cruise line allows shading ovals on ballots onboard the ship. While they are onboard, me and maybe a bunch of Trump supporters may be shading ovals next to JD Vance.

Royal Caribbean is not for Trump! I remember in 2016 their sister company Celebrity ran an anti-Trump ad during the DNC convention, and to make it worse when people were talking a boycott of their cruise line the CEO of Celebrity made a statement that people who were upset about the commercial wouldn't use Celebrity anyway that is why I don't cruise with Celebrity and Royal Caribbean anymore, I now only do Princess I don't know their political views and don't want to know.

We believe this is bad for the industry because cruising is supposed to be non-political. We ALL are trying to get away from politics on cruise ships and people could watch this TikTok video and immediately think that is not happening. Similarly for this video we are asking no one get political. This is cruise news about a very mis-guided video that is being shown to millions of people. We love cruising because it’s the one rare place we can come together, put away our differences and enjoy travel together.
