Put hinges on one side. Easy access.
ОтветитьIt's cool to look back at the old fishroom, i really liked the layout, entire wall filled with tanks 😎
ОтветитьI think what your doing is great. Another product to face your stands, is called coreplas. It used to make signs. It's light comes in all clouds., cheap and it plastic, so water won't hurt. Oh it looks like plastic cardboard. Cheers all.
ОтветитьOh wow. I didn't the shims were just there this whole time
ОтветитьHave a question for you I'm just getting back into the hobby I have a 180 gallon fish tank I had a stand built its secured to the floor with some Hardy back on the top It's not perfectly level can I just place a few shims under the tank itself it level it before I fill it. Its not a large gap A 16 of an inch
ОтветитьWhy are you yelling mate. this isnt a kids channel
ОтветитьWhat paint did you use?
ОтветитьMagnetic catches would have been more expensive but would have lasted longer and looked better, just a thought .
ОтветитьLongtivity! lol
ОтветитьIf it's not providing any structural integrity, 1/4 inch plywood, would be fine. It's cheaper and lighter. Also, you could make the ends of the panels longer so that it looks like one long skirt from end to end.
ОтветитьI dunno.
Ответитьfrench style cleats would look better. I think it was the 375 you put those on. Don't remember exactly
ОтветитьHow would you paint these stands??
ОтветитьAwesome Build! Great information about the plywood.
ОтветитьCool build! Are you using Styrafoam support on those rimmed tanks?
ОтветитьGreat and cheap tip 😁 xx
ОтветитьHAFELE KIKO CLIPS!!! They are strong and pop on/off.
Use them all the time.
Carpenter and joiner.
TRUST ME you won't want to use anything else.
I would use dowels painted black
ОтветитьGlue in pegs where the pilot holes are drill hole in said pegs put board on then put nail in hole in peg
ОтветитьShould of wrapped them before putting the tanks in place
ОтветитьYou should of used magnetic clips
Ответитьi hope the stands ar staibel i se it moving when you tuk of the panell ,no cros bars?
ОтветитьYou could always strategically place tall growing potted plants in the spaces between the tanks. Will still camouflage the hardware underneath, will look amazing, will purify air and bring a little outside in, ya? Some lucky bamboo, some ficus, some ferns....they'd end up hugging the tanks and look all tropical, especially if it's humid and warm in there! I'm a bit of a plant junkie though and you don't seem to have a cat that will eat the leaves LOL
ОтветитьYou should consider sunken lights
ОтветитьInstead of painting the floor you should do an Epoxy finish.
Ответить<3
ОтветитьThat’s a great idea!! Been thinking about building a tank stand and was really worried about how I was going to handle covering everything!
ОтветитьI love you Joey but huh? I'm glad that looks nice and convenient for you. That's a little Wile E. Coyote for me. Nonetheless, I look forward to what's next! :)
ОтветитьAre you using power tools?? DALE NO POWEERTOOLS!
ОтветитьHey use tool box liner and 2 inch velcro. Works soooo much easier and cheaper:) and its weatherproof
Ответитьthe humidity in the inside created by the sumps will make the wood expand and deform too...right??
ОтветитьGlad to see you use wood shims to level your stands too lol
ОтветитьHi Joey, will the paint fumes affect the fish in any way? The reason I ask is because I am planning to decorate my home. And am worried about the fumes around my tanks.
ОтветитьPut an Oscar in with the Redtail
ОтветитьHey Joey this is probably to late but if you went from the left stand brace all the way to the start of the next left brace, thus the gaps are closed and you can still remove the pieces of wood, or just every other one could go stand to stand with the opposite ones only covering the gaps between, so basically one might be +10 inches the width of the stand and the next would be just the width of the stand and so on. Doesn't bother me to see behind the tanks but for those that are easily bothered this might be a great compromise.
Ответитьgreat idea
Ответитьyou could bridge the gaps with thin strips of plywood
ОтветитьGood idea👍👍👍👍
Ответитьyou could chalk paint the stands and write ideas for the tanks or stuff like that on them
ОтветитьHi.
Great job.
Bye.
BRILLIANT!
Ответитьlooking great 👍🏼 would love to see a giant red tailed gourami in with your giant gourami once the tank is set for Susan!
ОтветитьWhat an abrupt ending hahah
ОтветитьSorry king but screws to hook ply on shabby. Love the new set up though 👍🏻
ОтветитьGreat job Joey love watching your vids
Gives me a great inside look of how I wanna set up my fish room
You could have used magnets to make them look nicer =)
ОтветитьLooking good Joey keep on keeping on!
